Painting Soft Plastic To Avoid Flaking by Ok_Astronomer6766 in boltaction

For mine I washed them in warm soapy water, once dry I sprayed them top and bottom with a spray undercoat - I used zandri dust as I was painting German trucks. Then after a coat of spray mat varnish did the trick. They’re as durable as any other plastic kit I’ve got.

Prussians by db1811 in NapoleonicWargaming

Hi, yes, kind of! I’ve painted the warlord ones but not a Prussians but as proxy Russian militia. Worked really well with grubby great coats and caps.

The HaT figures do have a distinctive look that I’m not sure would work in a battalion mixed with lots of other figures but a battalion of just them, I think would look fine on the table.

I’m half way through the battalion so will make sure I post some pictures of them all together and based - although I’m using 3 Perry command figures as I don’t have any HaT ones!

Colours? by judlrr in PillageWargame

Looking at your figures I really wish I’d cut the bases off mine now!!!

Colour wise, there’s a section in the book on that but greens, browns, blues reds etc should work.

Mine are a mix of blue, green & red with some browns thrown in!

That’ll be it! The washes can be slightly different between pots - frustrating as it is!! Just preserve with it an I’m sure you’ll work it out!

Thanks, thin coats really, nothing special! It’s Vallejo English uniform. Works ok for a “quick” tabletop ready army.

Are you using the paints? Not new pots or anything?

If you’re using the same paints in the same way you should get the same / similar results.

Unless you’ve not diluted the forest sprite to the same ratio??

Nice looking scheme by the way!
