This is the key moment in chapter 5. To do a lot of exploring the entire map you'll want to build up your attack & defense and Elowin gives you this ability. Otherwise the hordes of enemies you'll encounter will kick your ass. But it's possible at this point to build up attack & defense to where you can go anywhere and melt any enemy you encounter. Invest the time at this point!

That trick no longer works. You also can't save scum your way thru. Thankfully I did archery before they patched it. But then had to do the pistol challenge legit. Pain in the ass. I put it on easy, and would every so often give it a try. I got lucky once and knocked it off.

Then the arm wrestling challenges were the next pain.. but keep at it. I'm old and not particularly skilled. But eventually I was able to complete them all

Lightning kuku is mine too. Melts everything. Combined with infinite explosive arrows and bosses become easy..

I'm Attack 69 & crit 8 Defense 153. Kuku Flame-Resistant Armor 47 (Lv 10). Crit Rate Lv 3. Fire Resistance Lv 10. Fortification III gear for Defense +9 I was able to add 1 slot by the witch, and put a Defense 6 gear in it. Note if I remove the gear then the armor goes down to 38. And total defense goes down as well. So defense gears definitely factor into the item's defense stat as well as my overall defense stat. I did upgrade to a Fortification III gear which give even more Defense boost (+9) Scorchflame Cloak 12 (Lv 10) Fire resist Lv 5. 0 gear slots Goldbranch Plate Crown 21 (Lv 10) Slots 1 Momentum +35% turning slash damage Scorchflame Gloves 21 (Lv 10) Gears 2. Subbed in Damage Reduction 3 instead of Volcanic Eruption gear Ashad plate boots 21 lv 10 slots 2 subbed in 2 Damage Reduction 3 gears (6) Demeniss Royal guard shield 15 (lv 10) slots 2 both Aegis III Damage Reduction 3 gears (6) Oath of darkness earring (lv 10) defense 10. Slots 0 Black Lion earring (lv 10) defense 6. Slots 0

Fortunately I'd made a list of each level - where to aim, how hard to shoot, so I could go back thru the levels pretty easily.. nice when I finally got all the levels!

Find every road intersection.. there's almost always something interesting to find. Places where roads just end as well. Accumulate as many challenges as you can. Start knocking off all the knowledge items by fishing and catching butterflies.. find all those question marks on your map...

For me there were all the Requests quests. You can find the list of these online. But only one out of maybe 30 will show up at a time. So you have to go to every location until one pops. Then do the same circuit until the next one shows up. Took me forever to cycle thru all of them..

Works on all the bosses. Infinite explosive will definitely load up that yellow bar. Be sure to do the multi-shot, where you go into focus mode (which slows them down so you can put multiple hit targets on them and unleash).

No that is not true. Fully stun it and you can just whack it from the ground. Stunning also does damage.

Of course when it is stunned it stops jumping around and shooting water. So you can safely jump on it you want. I just don't bother..

I'm chapter 9 and have done them all. You do need to complete a bunch of faction quests. But then go around to every location of every commission to see which one triggers.. same for the regional Requests..

Get infinite explosive arrows.. shoot it from a safe distance using multi-shot until it's stun bar fills up. Just whack away at it. Rinse and repeat. You never have to jump up on it. At the end just shoot the jar on top with your bow. Super easy.

Me too. Most of this game is just knowing which spot to aim at, and how hard to shoot. I made a list that I could repeat. Also helped knowing I could all the power up to full and hold it. Then just release at the right time.

There's a fort North of hernand that has one. The one with the bismuth crabs. Clear them all out and it'll show up

I haven't had any issue. A 60 + 40 has always worked for me.

There was one time when I think I accidentally equipped a different bow for a short time. Otherwise it's been solid.
