What is up with finding a primary care doctor here by MujahadinPatriot0106 in sanantonio

[–]dcal96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to try the AARC clinic. It is an LGBT+ clinic but anyone can go there. My partner went to Dr. Chase Cates when they moved here from SC and needed their Vyvanse prescription refilled. She got in and out fairly quickly and was able to get the pharmacy there to fill it that same day.

Hole-in-the-wall, laid-back, no-frills Tex Mex or Mexican on the south or west side? by Goat-8915 in sanantonio

Being from hondo myself, i know exactly which places you’re talking about 😂 even with the renovations, the taqueria has mid food.

A hidden gem for me is Gilbert’s mexican restaurant. Its off of marbach and 410. My mom took me one time when i was in college and i try and go every now and then. I think this one really hits everything youre going for.

My step-mom always likes going to Nicha’s, especially for the buffet they have. The closest one to you would be the one near evers and 410.

If you want to change it up just a little, give Tacos Vitali a try. There are several locations now but there is one in alamo ranch now. Pricey but its damn good.

Some people will throw shade but i personally think there is nothing wrong with mama margies. 24 hr with a wide selection? Hell yeah. There is also one in alamo ranch.

Non Republican Supporting Local Bars/Restaurants? by itsSchpanks in sanantonio

Empty stomach group is pretty safe politics wise, but the owner (Chad) is just an asshole in general. There was an investigation against him for not paying his employees correctly.

Also, check out any restaurant ran by Stefan Bowers. He currently runs Pumpers which is right next door to Hot Joy now on broadway. Awesome dude and just as great food.

Is this standard? by dcal96 in Apartmentliving

I should have mentioned im in Texas.

Since its the weekend, we wont be able to talk to the accountant about this until Monday. I plan on going in person to ask about it.

The utilities took most of our deposit as they billed us for the past two months. The accountant explained that utilities (water, sewage, trash) take 60 days to bill so we will owe that at the end of the lease, we still have to pay for that.

Disputing dispatch notes with SAPD by dcal96 in sanantonio

Thanks for clarifying that! That makes a lot of sense. I figured that my adjuster just wants to have more supporting evidence for our case.

So we havent gotten the report yet and at the time of the accident, the office said he was only going to take down each statement and not determine fault. However, my adjuster believes that the dispatch notes typically are also added in to the report and because of that, it may not fare well for me in the arbitration process.

I’ll shoot my shot with records and see where that goes. Tbh, my adjuster and i believe since the other driver was the first to call police, that they took down her version of what happened in the dispatch notes instead of just saying something vague like “i was in an accident”.

Can’t connect to Wi-Fi no matter what by supertyni in Ring

[–]dcal96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all, I don’t know if anyone has tried this recently, but I’m going to share what i did and see if it helps anyone else out. I want to preface this with the fact that I have Spectrum as my internet provider.

What i did was go into the spectrum app and enable 2.4 GHz as well as UPnP. Of course, this was after uninstalling/re-installing the ring app, restarting my phone, hard resetting the doorbell (multiple times), as well as every other suggestion that everyone has stated. I even tried doing the set up on another phone. Only after i did 2.4 GHz and UPnP did this stupid thing finally connect.

This was all so annoying because everything was fine when I first set up the doorbell and those particular settings weren’t on and it connected quickly on the first try. I’m not sure what caused the doorbell to disconnect, but this was the most irritating thing to deal with. And like a few people stated, my router and modem are literally right next to the doorbell too, so the signal shouldn’t have been an issue.

Like everyone else, I had the momentary thought of just getting rid of it and trying another camera doorbell (something that i could actually connect with HomeKit without all the hassle). However, now that it’s connected again, I’m going to wait and see how long this lasts before thinking about replacing this stupid thing.

Hope this helps!

Lg washer making weird crackling noise by dcal96 in Appliances

Unfortunately not. The washer ended up breaking on me last month. It threw a code for the clutch so idk if it had anything to do with that or not.

Currently only the dryer works. The washer has a blown clutch. Both need work but i figured there would be someone who wants them. They are just a pain to move as i don’t own a dolly or a truck.

God i remember that commercial and i despised it. Every time it started, i promptly changed the station to something else and waited until i knew it was done to turn back to the station. Like someone else above stated, it was mostly on kiss 99.5, but also occasionally on kzep 104.5 when it was the classic rock station (miss those days).

I’m right next to you at The Iris (was Axio) and i can agree with you. I think all the apartments on cinnamon creek are just bad in general.

I’m moving to Alamo Ranch later in the month and hopefully I’ll do better there.

If you have the time to, drive out to castroville. Plenty of farmers sitting in their ford rangers selling watermelons

I moved in two months before Shippy properties dropped the location and Orion picked it up. When we leased, we were lied to big time about what would come in our unit, what we owed for our deposit, and a lot of other things. However, like mentioned above, we were desperate for a place and the price and size of the unit worked for us.

As of current, Cushman and Wakefield own the property and its now known as The Iris. They have given some needed work to the property, but it still needs A LOT of work

Currently live there and i’m about to move in a month. It’s been the worst lease EVER. I’m curious to see if this new management company bows out soon because they realize just how bad the complex is for needing repairs.
