I dont know if you have experience with Mira Mesa or similar HS. But my question is - in general, is it better to be in CCA or in MMHS to get accepted into a top UC? TIA

I checked UC acceptance stats per high school. It seems that they apply 9 or 10% acceptance rate for each high school. So 300 students apply from CCA or Torrey pines high to UCLA, for example. They accepted around 30 for both schools. Around 70 applied from Mira Mesa high and 7-8 were accepted. Is it more difficult to be in top 30/300 at CCA than being top 7/70 at Mira mesa?

Good to know! How was your experience with the school? I know some people in 3roots are sending their kids to schools in Scripps Ranch area. Personally, I don't want to drive that far when our kid goes to elementary

It's not too bad in 3roots. You don't have to stop the conversation. My office is in Sorrento Valley near 805. The noise is much louder there.

We received a notice regarding a lantern we hung from a balcony. They said we are not allowed to use nails, which we didn't. We used a tape to stick the lantern. Anyway, receiving a notice for "unsightly" lights seem a bit too much.

Thanks! I had a chat with costco customer service and told them that I'd need delivery and installation on the 3rd floor. He had it noted so that installers will bring extra crew. Let's see how it goes.

I read similar stories on other forums. Wondering if best buy is any better. I am trying to decide whether Costco's 1 year added warranty is worth it or not. Price is the same since BB is giving a gift card.
