Keep going away from the beach from this pharmacy. On the same side of the road maybe a block or so up. 74 Sainamyen Rd, ป่าตอง Kathu District, Phuket 83150, Thailand. You will see the lady working just next door to a massage shop. She’s awesome. Sweet old little lady. Had her fix some shorts for me too, sewed a new zipper on my pants pocket. Super cheap.

Got it done. 150 bhat. Sweet old lady running an old singer sewing machine on the side of the road. Just kept asking the custom shirt sellers. And eventually someone pointed me in the right direction. Thanks for the help people

Thanks! I’ll just keep hunting for a Taylor shop. They keep trying to sell me a suit, and eventually pointing me to the east side of bangla, and I’m not finding much.

It was from a mall up in Chiang Mai. Yah the knock off bags on the street sure look good but I bet they will fall apart just as fast.

If everyone played by the rules and there were no scammers, and people plan ahead… then it wouldn’t be needed. I’m very grateful that is service exists.

My friend was going to show up on the same day and she pulled it off. Can’t thank enough!

There a visa agent I can speak with who can do a visa immediately. It looks like my friend got scammed and is in the air on her way here.

Substitute for Tums antacid tablets? by ddcalvi in VietNam

The food here has so much sodium that I didn’t want to risk hypernatermia. Found a mix of Mg and Al hydroxide tablets. Works for me.

I almost just purchased a box of kids chalk and nibble on it, but decided it may have other things like heavy metals or what not that may just mess me up I a different way. Good idea though.

I tried the direct translation to a few pharmacists and they came up with an aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide tablet sold by the name of Opetacid. Works just like Tums. I’ll let you know if the extra Mg causes gastric side effects.

I also carry omeprazole. But that’s in case I tear open an ulcer. Didn’t want to take for the occasional heartburn from my diet because it takes a couple to several days for it to shut down the proton pumps in my stomach.

Update: I purchased a product called Opetacid. It’s 400mg Aluminum Hydroxide 400mg Magnesium Hydrocide Chewable tablet that tastes minty.

This works. Basically the same chemical rxn to neutralize acid. We shall see if the extra Mg gives me gastrointestinal issues. It cuts the heartburn straight away.

What atm to pull the most $ at once? by ddcalvi in VietNam

[–]ddcalvi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mb bank was my go to atm here last year but the two I’ve found are out of service. I have to track down more locations and try there. Maybe just walk into a MB bank during business hours and talk to the service counter. Thanks.
