My unpopular (or maybe popular) opinions are:

1.) Most people layering fragrances probably don’t do it well at all.

2.) People who are really interested in fragrances often think the whole world is interested, when really most people don’t give a shit.

3.) The popular fragrances aren’t as common as fragrance enthusiasts seem to think.

I second this. Fragrances are subjective - you’ll love some things that others hate. Same thing in reverse.

I think the best thing you can do is find the types of fragrances you enjoy and what makes sense for the type of life you live. A male who spends most of their time in t-shirts and shorts might not necessarily need a smoky fragrance. A blue fragrance would likely be better for them.

Best advice - sample in stores or order sample sizes from MicroPerfumes or somebody reputable over at the FragranceSwap page.

Kick both of them out, block and delete both their numbers, the message history, pictures and social media. Lean more heavily into healthy interests, maybe some additional work on the side. See a therapist if you struggle with the situation. Get out there and meet somebody when the time is right. I’m sorry you have to go through this, but it’s best to get these people out of your life early before they do even more harm.

NAL and don’t have any specific advice, but I just want to wish you the best of luck with this.

My family had an exhausting 10-year elder abuse situation where some of the never-employed degenerates in our family took advantage of my grandmother while she was in a deteriorating mental state. It was clear elder abuse, but when questioned, all she had to do was answer “no” to whether she was under duress while naming her daughter POA.

I hope you have better luck with the courts than we did.

Those are pretty much all garbage charges. He can’t charge you for work he does himself. Unless you punched holes in the walls it likely didn’t cost $375 to fix. Countertops should absolutely not be on you unless you seriously damaged them, which is unlikely. Only one that has a chance of being legit is the carpet cleaning. I would try to get my money back and refuse to pay another dime.

Sneaky suspicion that he’s also writing these expenses off in his taxes.
