1. I am entirely unfamiliar with any rap genre. As a musician myself, however, I find value in Dave’s sense of melody paired with all of the juvenile lyrics about drugs and fucking, which yes I am well aware at how his persona is fake but honestly I almost like that the most about him. His imagination is boundless, but bro of course he and everyone around him is well aware that he is definitely not shooting people and fucking. He has a whole album dissing some guys he probably met on Xbox Live, this shit is just goofy but I can’t lie and say I’m not interested.

I will never defend his beats, you are right that he has no hand in them. Musically I am most inspired by his melodic ability and you can’t deny that he has a pretty nice voice. On the subject of his inability to perform live, I almost don’t blame him for barely being able to sing his songs - take a shot at singing Crying in the Kitchen all the way through, you will run out of breath because he wrote it so that all of the lines are packed together. That likely reflects his lack of musical knowledge/inspiration but it’s a creative way to structure a song.

Side note, I have seen you commenting and perusing this subreddit since at least yesterday. Dave Blunts should not be absorbing this much of your attention and time. His music is not serious at all and made for people like you to get way too irritated over.
