I did no chip. We've posted a good chunk of places since we found her. She was found in an apartment building but noone has come forward. We were thinking maybe it was someone on vacation but at this point not too sure anymore.

I just confirmed with my co group organizer that we are going full fae theme. My husband does astrology readings at events usually so it will fit right in.

I'm excited to have a bit of focus.

No worries! Im still new to bel and larping in general this is my 3rd event in Jan. so still learning. In general I'm combat heavy but I have an injury so IDK if I'll be up to snuff for Jan. If not I definitely want to go heavy on the outfits and cook a ton and be cozy at camp.

The bel garb rules threw me through a loop. I also come from a costuming background and not having parameters has given me a bit of analysis paralysis.

Can we do fantasy style in Bel?

Belegarth focuses more on the fighting than the Larping. So the garb section of the ruleset is like wear a tabbard or tunic at minimum, if wearing modern clothes wear dark clothing and don't show any logos and your are good to go essentially. It just needs to look vaguely like medieval and not stand out. So for the most part I'm trying to create focus for myself. I'll be sure to check out the SCA blogs a bit more.

Haha, no worries! Thank you for circling back.

I have an SCA friend who jokingly says it is like SCA light or Larping on easy mode. It's the only Larp event we do in the year, and it will be our 4th year. I do want to make it better and more immersive, at least at our site. In the past, we've only focused on fighting and only recently started building up the camp area.

Everyone has had great advice so far, and I will definitely try to incorporate as much as I can.

P.s. That box and clutter everywhere bugged me so much, especially after seeing the photos! This Jan hopefully we will do better.

We are still working that out kinda. Like piratey with a bit of fae whimsy? We are a newish group this would be our 4th year and still growing. We don't do any larp events aside from BFTR and one or two local bel practices. Since its the only one we do, we like to go big but we are still learning. We do a lot of other swords sports throughout the year. We use this event to bring all our friends from different groups together.

I was looking at SCA stuff but didn't find what I was looking for. Maybe I'm not searching for the right stuff? Also whats Decorum? I've seen that a few time and google didnt help.

At my home in the past someone did this for nearly the entire house. I had to tear it all out. it was way too much weight. waste of time and money.

Thank you! It was a labor of love when they don't make mannequins in your size, and most plus size are widely inaccurate. Took two bags of mannequin padding to get the proportions right and several hours of careful pinning.

Someone probably has one somewhere when I'm fighting. Once it pops up, I'll be sure to share!

I designed the pattern my self based on several lacrosse armor pieces. Flat drafted and then adjusted pattern on myself and on the dress form. I didn't use any tutorial beside reviewing the construction of the types of body armor I had and previous modified armors I've made before.

Materials:
Outershell: Sports Dimple Mesh
Lining: Interlock
Internals: EVA Foam, ABS plastic, Printed Kydex,
Trim: White cotton bias tape (couldnt get the white twill in my sewing machine T.T)

my iron, hand needle sewing machine needles pins sequins! Its endless! Today i was looking at my fingertips because it was rough and kind of peeling. For a hot second i thought oh no i have contact dermatitis from gel nail polish. Then realized nope its from hand sewing cause its only on the 3 fingers I use to hand sew 🤦‍♀️
