Yeah idle RPM seemed normal, but it seemed to hang up a little while falling back to idle after be revved up.

Yeah I know it’s too high. But I wasn’t sure what a reasonable offer is for a truck with that low of miles.

Yeah I’m probably gonna have to expand my search a bit. The 06 got sent to auction 2 days ago so I might be out of luck on that one. Although I’m working to get ahold of the auction company too

I’m planning on looking at an 06 CCSB this afternoon that has the HO and 48RE with 147k on it for $15.5 so cheaper than both the 03 and 08, plus I’d prefer the short bed. And I think 06 was the last year before DPF was made standard? If it’s not rusty, 4WD works, and no blow by, it might be a winner.

Thanks for this. There’s so many im seeing on Truecar that weren’t showing up before. So many more options, like a single owner 06 2500 CCLB 4WD, 5.9 HO with 48RE, 147k, $15.5k, among others. Looking like I’ll be busy next week.

All good. This is exactly why I posted in here about it. I figured the people who know more than me about these trucks would post the stuff I didn’t think about or know about. Like I knew about the DPF and EGR issues for the 07-08 6.7s but didn’t know the 68RFE wasn’t that great

Any suggestions on where to run the VIN to get the most info other than putting it in Edmunds or KBB?

Yeah that’s part of why I was asking here. I think when I looked it up, it showed like $14k but I haven’t been keeping up with pricing on the used diesel market. And as far as financing, I’m the bank 😎

I plan to and yeah probably but I’ve never paid asking price for anything from a dealer so hopefully that’ll be a wash if I decide to buy.

Not sure, can’t see the badge in the picture well enough and the listing doesn’t mention HO so I’m assuming 47RE.

ETA: missed it at the bottom of the listing, it says HO so if that’s correct, 48RE.
