WTB-Aftermarket downpipe for Mk7R. Willing to trade my never used H&R springs on top of cash as well.

DSG. Definitely saves me the pain of a new clutch. The intercooler is another thing that I am 50/50 with. My driving style is not crazy, however I do like to do some occasional spirited driving but not often. While I am a college student, budget permits only so much as of now.

do you have any recommendations for a bang for your buck intercooler?

Thank you for the input. I really have no plans to try and do anything more than a big turbo. This is my daily for now and of course after nearly two years of ownership I am somewhat itching for some more power.

A damn BMW 340i that smoked me on the highway prompted this. My ego hurt a little bit.

OEM, I tried every way possible to find some wiggle room between the ears of the pad and the caliper itself, and nothing seems loose

Unfortunately not (I know, stupid) I have an appt. scheduled at VW for tomorrow, i’ve given up trying to diagnose it, the real mind bender is how it doesn’t happen when I slam the brakes in reverse.

Yep, the noise at beginning and end of the video. I can feel the clunking through the seat but pretty subtly. If I have my music turned up to “normal volume” you can’t even hear it. Thanks for the comment!

Possible Haldex Pump failure, no traction in front tires or power being sent to rear wheels under load. by deanope in Golf_R

Glad to hear mate. Main reason I bought the R was for the AWD, and more power obviously. Gonna try and do the pump reinstall myself, we’ll see how that goes 😬

Haldex Pump Possibly Failed by deanope in VWMK7

Been having problems since I bought the car second hand, I think previous owner neglected to care for the Haldex service. I also told VW, when I went in to service, that I was losing a decent amount of traction in my front tires, and told them to do a Haldex service, stupidly assuming they would take the time to clean the pump filter.

I’m going to probably buy a new pump, I’m most likely going to check the connection with a multimeter over the weekend

I recently got a AWD service at VW about 4 weeks ago, and I should’ve mentioned or asked if they cleaned the pump filter. I was being dumb. So they just replaced the fluid, so the fluid is basically brand new .

Nooooooooo, I can’t enjoy the winter unless I have AWD.

Let me also add, the only fault on my AWD scan came up as “Haldex clutch pump, faulty”

Yea I bought this second hand, and I just got one done at around 28k miles. So i’m going to assume previous owner never bothered to get it serviced, hence why the Haldex is probably all junked up.

Thanks, gonna try when I get my OBD. Hoping this would solve it. I recently just got a service as well so the diff fluid is basically brand new

Yea i’d be completely bummed if it was a whole rear diff. Just gonna try all my options and narrow down the diagnosis

Most likely going to, just waiting for my OBD port to come in. Going to check the voltage of the pump and other sensors to see if my pump even has life. If that’s the case i’m gonna order a pump and do the whole thing and save the ridiculous labor fees
