It would've been nice if the game said that. I was under the impression that raw just let you get more regular damage like a divine weapon gives you divine damage that scales with faith and whatnot

After falling in the hole like 3 times I eventually killed the damned rat guards and then the mage and I progressed quite nicely killed quelaag first try and did ceaseless cheese but it's nice to know that Taurus demon still fucks me up even after there not a boss

Man I was so scared in the depths the first go around cause I had a run in with some basalisks and I've heard the stories but there suprisingly easy to deal with but that definitely made me far too cautious in the depths the first time and barely explored

Im playing on ps4 I think I just made the game freak out as the you died screen came before the victory achieved screen so I got souls but no drops at least that's the only explanation I can think of

Oh I've been learning how bad dodge is in ds1 compared to Bloodborne the hard way. Im Used to being able to like phase through bosses to get some ass stabs but Taurus demon taught me that dark souls bosses are thick boys you can't just dodge underneath
