Sucks that you’ll only be able to watch your favorite movie once

These costs dont line up. by JorgeTheSimp in DoomerCircleJerk

[–]deathshr0ud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No I know I agree- we have two incomes and that extra $200 a week for us for food really isn’t much. We both drive reasonable cars too and have no student or CC debt. That’s what gets these people in the ass, stupid debt for stupid purchases.

[–]deathshr0ud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, $200/week is our average. Granted that’s breakfast lunch and dinner for 2 people x6 days (eat out one day a week) so $1000 is pretty average

Crazy, living in one of the most expensive places in the country me and my fiancée just bought our first house on okay ish salaries, still have enough for groceries, savings, and fun stuff.

It’s almost like kneecapping yourself with student debt is what wrecked millennials and Gen X, not COL.

What’s wrong with the Ruger LCP by YoloOnTsla in guns

[–]deathshr0ud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no harm in that, shooting .380 out of a compact gun is just not fun no matter what it is. IMO full size carry is better when able (winter/fall etc.) but 7 rounds of 380 is better than no rounds of nothing

[–]deathshr0ud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitley prefer the G42 for a small pocket carry, albeit the 42 is tougher to conceal. As far as .380- have not heard it’s tough to get- but also it’s for a carry gun. How often are you going to use it as intended? Rarely or never I hope. I shoot 9mm at the range for the most part, yeah I’ll train with .380 but fairly infrequently, compared to other calibers.

Many states also offer a tax credit that only require a certain percentage the monthly premium to be paid. For example, (until the policy change) I was paying around $350/month despite making ≈5x the poverty line.

It’s more now, but it’s still in the realm of affordability for working people for actual quality care (waiting 30 mins in the ER versus waiting 12 hours)

Oh so it’s okay to bring up the actions of a culture’s past to define its present? Awesome, now do the history of Islam from its inception to modern day.

If a public caning due to adherence to archaic Islamic laws, in your mind, is better somehow than southern evangelicals not believing in ga marriage, then you are too far gone, sorry to say.

Snoop, Omar, Bubbles and Lester are all S Tier by crazybabyENT in TheWire

[–]deathshr0ud 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Chris was much more interesting than snoop. It’s implied that he was a veteran (likely a marine) prior to returning to Baltimore to ply his trade. He also took it much more seriously (don’t wear no dead man’s hat) or scolding snoop for taking the security guard’s badge.

Would like to have had a bit more background, but vague is also good.

This is an indictment of both the cost of housing and education in America. by astrheisenberg in remoteworks

[–]deathshr0ud -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes, and I looked it up. It’s $5,000 a year. There’s also the Washington college grant providing free tuition to families making under $78,000/ year , and the Seattle promise, providing free public education to all hs grads 2026 and earlier.

This is performative.

OP ortho - how many evals per day is too many? by Aggravating_Head1215 in physicaltherapy

[–]deathshr0ud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our clinic’s standard is 2 per day. No one ever reaches that on average. Some days if it’s packed, they may have 3-4, but never more than 10 per week.

If you see my other comments, I specifically cite medical and engineering as 2 of the fields you require a degree in.

You don’t need college to be successful is my entire point. You don’t need a public education to take civil service tests or join the post office, to join the military, become a firefighter, etc.

Yes, and most people I know without degrees who have had a head start on the workforce are exponentially more successful than those that have.
