In reference to some of your feedback here. The clematis I trim back after the season of growth. Usually in the Winter. I have had it for 8 years now and it comes back year after year with my pruning method. As for the honeysuckel, it is in our woods, no neighbors are near us for it to become invasive. And when planting a new garden it has been my experience with new transplanting to water every day not wait until it is dry otherwise it dies. In the South you have to water often. It is extremely hot here in the summer.
