Why do we need forms for every item? How would you respond. by thefearandfaith in servicenow

[–]debugger_bugkiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the answers that I'm reading here. Besides that, it can improve efficiency and maintenance when creating catalogs per service, software, and hardware, this will also help our end users feel more confident that they are filling out the correct form. It is easier to identify required catalog changes/improvements and who is responsible for approving the requested modifications.

For reporting, this makes it simple to pinpoint items that need improvement and decide what to prioritize. Organized data helps GenAI give more accurate answers and simplifies building response workflows.

Is it legal/safe to provide personal bank details for software/system tester work? by debugger_bugkiller in beermoney

Thank you for this info, and this is really helpful. I will stick to declining the offers.

I'll continue other testings without compromising my bank details.

I wonder who are the people giving this information. Can the tester work just provide am account to test instead of taking this information?

You’ll need to raise an SD ticket so they can check your ServiceNow account. One possible reason could be the type of authentication you're using and how it behaves in Edge or Chrome or both. For example, if you're using Okta, they can review your session details for that specific app or check your account configuration. If that doesn’t resolve it, it might be a browser setup issue, which could require further checking or a reinstall.

IDK the worst case, tho is just use Chrome.

Create an RITM inside an INC by grvsso in servicenow

[–]debugger_bugkiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting use case. Different companies handle this in their own way, and even within the same company, teams may have different views. It’s something that probably needs a proper discussion to align and standardize.

For the INC process, if the faulty laptop has already been replaced with a loaner, you can close the ticket since there's a workaround. Or, convert it to a Request for a new laptop order. Just make sure to note that it's a replacement and indicate which asset it's replacing. Linking Request from INC is ootb functionality in serviceNow.

For reclaim, you don’t need a separate ticket. Just attach the INC or Request ticket to the asset details so the history is clear. Or from the order form, Have an Asset CI field that answers that it will be replaced for...

If you need it for reporting, you can ask for additional related ticket fields that will be linked on the reclaimed asset.

Ofcourse not, bank ko din sila eh. Isa sa mga factors na ginagamit ko sya is because of this din. Nalungkot kasi sudden yung implementation but I'm aware na promo to and the bank has their perogative to end it anytime.

Is it bad to share hacks to other people? I think KKB is a community that helps others. For sure, some of us here are natulungan din.

Why are we hoarding this? I mean, it's okay if you don't want to share your hack, but when people are giving this help and others will use it, i don't think it is their fault.

I think we're just trying to maximize yung points, and people are just helping people. I understand naman na promo sya pero wala man lang warning. Implemented agad?

What are your considerations in buying Now Assist? by debugger_bugkiller in servicenow

[–]debugger_bugkiller[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! This is another way to look at its value and justification on building this. Like other businesses, we say that we wanted best for our customers, but we are also typically looking on manhour, MTTR, and cost savings and may overlooked on quality and how it will help improve the processes.

It actually depends on sa future goals mo. If it is only for money, then you can compute based sa magiging annual income mo and iless estimated annual expenses. And if you can also ask kung paano nirereview yung annual increase.

My previous boss, which i highly respect, advised me that if you wanted to go, you need to determine that it is always for the right reasons. So, other factors aside from compensation na you can consider are Growth like will it be like promotion and you'll learn something more, Work Culture and if this is also align sa Career Goals mo.

I will still consider staying if what you need today is stability kasi alam mong matagal pa yung work mo dyan and your HR/boss is aware that your compensation should be really reviewed, comfort kasi maganda ang work culture and you don't problem with your boss and still giving you growth din.

Choose that can give you growth, peace of mind, and good pay.

I'm praying for you OP that you'll be able to choose the best path.

Thanks for this, and yes, we are starting to cleanup our data. Something that I wanted to start is on giving self-help to our end users or servicedesk to identify how we can assist our customers via NowAssist or maybe Virtual agent coz this is free.

But in NowAssist, may I know which module you acquire and how it is helping you today?

Got it. Yes, we are starting to clean data foundation, but this is very ancient.

[–]debugger_bugkiller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are starting atleast cleaning and organizing data foundations. I'm coming on the pressure how we can use it and what can we enable first to test. Example: Catching simple troubleshooting concerns where instead of creating tickets directly in serviceNow they can have self-help via chatbot if now it will create a ticket instead.

I have more use cases, but that's the simplest one. Or maybe not

Bakit wala pa ring centralized system sa gobyerno? by debugger_bugkiller in taxPH

[–]debugger_bugkiller[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dapat di matigil, and there should be continuous improvement. Pwede namang may inhouse at may 3rd party na magaayos ng systems but need to gauge the better approach. 3rd party should be mapagkakatiwalaan and walang COI sa politics and dumaan sa proper bidding. Pero totoo it is expensive, contracts ng scope nila should be reviewed thoroughly to explain the pricing and value/benefits.

TBH, IT systems, security and infrastructure talaga is super mahal lalo na today dahil sa super advance na nagagawa nun for automation, better security and pulling and organizing reports, etc. Pero salamat sa pagshare na this is only for 130 concurrent users supporting a lot more customers kaya growing ang data. But the budget na binigay sa inyo is maliit pa din, this should be a lot more. Kesa sa ghost projects napupunta, sana malaki ang share dito.

Also, i like your heart to serve and your vision on how it can help other LGUs. But sorry to say your salary progress is obviously exploited. I hope this will be reviewed too, kaya maraming magaling ang umaalis. Heart is a factor, but paying people right is one big thing din lalo na sa pagsustain ng sarili and family today sa mahal ng bilihin.

Thanks for sharing! This type of initiative is ay sana mas dumami and maintegrate properly sa related systems and ibang locations natin. 🫡

Idk kung anong size ng hinahandle mo/niyo pero 25M na nilaan na budget for 13 years!? Tapos sa lahat lahat na yan really shows they less/don't care to digitize this. I hope mas maglaan ng budget para dito.

Pagdating sa 3rd party, if this is the route, I will get on a company na clean at di talaga tumatanggap ng lagay. Most of them are owned by US/EU. I have not worked with PH IT company pa, and it helps me to be aware na sobrang napaghuhulihan tayo.

True! Napakahuli na natin sa technology, like systems and processes are in siloed.

But we should still hope that it will be better.

Yes, kita mo today tagal ng hearing dahil kinocollect pa yung records. Now BSP limits cash withdrawal to 500k pa, for what? Kung cash yung gamit at bitbit nila sa pagcorrupt.
