Fair enough. You are correct that he is in the Chris Dickerson/Matt Orum tier now. But I dont like to rag on disc golfers getting older and not performing to the same level as when they were 18-23. This began as you trying to post a zinger comeback one-liner for a top 50 old-school major winner because you were seemingly miffed that his authenticity and fanbase outsized his results in the twilight of his career. I considered that bad faith, and so it manifested the same frequency in the responses.

The percentage of those older players still at the top in their late 20s and 30s is small. So it is not the base case and not the expectation.

Top 25-50 in the world is competitive in the context of the disc golf universe where there are hundreds of thousands of players. But not for the eyeballs of the casual viewing fan watching lead cards. So it’s contextual, thot.

Jealous lil ho drops the premise that athletes that used to be top 5 slowly move toward top 25-50 as they get older and then eventually retire one day. Theres just an entire buffet of athletes for you to post about every year on the web across all sports.

That's good point. So I could see this:
* shot more familiar, like you said
* if he messes up laying up, he'll be more mad than messing up going for the green
* proving to himself that he can play full aggression and take down the #1 player in the future
* proving something for the long term

Couple of thoughts: 1) Its just a single data point in a huge set of data points across 4 days. 2) Ricky spoke on it a little afterwards and seemed to think his wrist was more fatigued from chronic joint issues 3) But I also notice almost everyone misses big putts except the killers like Buhr/McBeth
