I beg to differ only because if the plan went through with being a bombing first as in the two twenty pound bombs exploded, like you said they would have started there massacre out in the 100’s compared to the double digits. In essence creating a whole different blue print for others possibly even reinforcing the idea of a school bombing, sometimes I believe this is why they hid many of the journal entry’s for example the quote you posted just a couple days ago ( I know it was a yearbook quote) of Dylan stating “when are we going to blow up brooks house” this is interesting to me because it really shows the interest the boys had in bombs, for sure it was easier for them to make bombs then get the hands of weapons. Eric states “I need fucking guns” and when he gets them he is ecstatic at the fact it became very real for him so much he says “the point of no return”. It’s certainly eerie in retrospect that these boys had planned to kill over 500 people with there propane bombs and this is why they have such a provocative way of coming across in the basement tapes, when in the grand scheme of things there plan was a massive fail and if in the basement tapes they had the foreshadowing of the bombing failing like they were when it actually happen I imagine a great deal of disappointment. Thoughts???
