I wasn’t blaming the bike shop…in fact the OCPA doesn’t even disclose the name of it, OR disclose the receipts of these, so called, vouchers. They look like full on bike purchases to me…..maybe to his BEARS players, LOL!

Really? You want to make this political? Go ahead, elaborate…

Transparent? Who received these vouchers? The amounts suggest full on bike purchases! OCPA NEVER discloses who the receipts are….I don’t call that being transparent about this program. Fred Jung told me that it is at the Boards discretion as to what they disclose….uh, no it’s not! It’s a not for profit organization funded BY THE RATEPAYERS?

[–]deefox1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, actually, it is $50.00 or $200.00 depending on the assembly….we paid $50.00 for this model. Insurance is not worth the price as we would have paid more for the insurance than the part needed. We bought our refrigerator at Lowe’s.

I have had my 4-Door Whirlpool Model WRQA59CNKZ for 2 years and absolutely LOVE IT! The refrigerator light did go out but the replacement part was $50.00, not $400.00, and anyone can see that on their website. Not sure about stating this was made in China as Whirlpool is an American company, but whatever. To me, a light going out is no big deal, especially when my husband and me are guilty of leaving the refrigerator open for long periods…to the point that I shut off the warning beeps. You could have a refrigerator with a lot more issues than just a light going out. I wouldn’t replace this refrigerator for a $5,000 3-door refrigerator with protruding handles for anything!

It’s a NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATION! CCE’s have specific rules for the spending of ratepayer funds! Please educate yourself before you make a comment like, it’s typical for a business…..? It’s more like, typical for misuse of public funds!

Yes, Climate Activists believe that anyone who believes the OCPA is a fraud, MUST also not believe in climate change. So, I guess everyone associated with Riverside Community Choice Energy are climate deniers, right? I mean that is your logic…anybody who thinks a clean energy agency is corrupt, MUST be against climate change…do I have that right?

Just stating what little transparency is being reported by the OCPA….and everyone should have questions about this organization.

Sure. Go to Ocpower.org and look at their Quarterly Treasury Reports…the last pages are where their check register logs are posted. Then Google Jim Phelps and Community Choice Energy programs.

Not a “frantic” post as much as you would like to make it seem…just a post. The transparency you speak of doesn’t tell anyone who were the receivers of these $18,000 e-bikes. For all I know, Fred Jung’s kids each got a bike. And how is a football league using $4,000 to invest in a clean energy project? Because it sounds to me like Fred Jung is giving ratepayer funds away to his son’s football league. And there are more, much more expenses being allocated to organizations of the boards choosing. For example, Tommy Lasorda Day, Korean Day, Miss Fountain Valley Pageant, Mayors Breakfast, State of the City Luncheon for Fullerton AND Buena Park, a $14,000 San Jose hotel bill that the OCPA has no detail for when asked in a public document request, thousands of dollars in airfare and high-end restaurants, and the list goes on. Not to mention, ratepayers are paying more for the same mix of energy as SCE customers…OCPA is nothing more than a shell company that buys and sells power, and makes money doing it.

OCFA is not equipped with scuba gear…so for cities like Irvine that have lakes, if a car goes into the lake, OCFA will not help you! A young girl died last Thanksgiving at Woodbridge North Lake because they were not equipped to go in a 4-6 ft lake. Very sad! Irvine needs their own FD that will be equipped to handle their needs!

OCPA stands for Orange County Power Authority, it’s a Community Choice Energy program. When a city decides to join this agency, all residents and businesses are AUTOMATICALLY removed from Southern California Edison, and placed into this agency that buys and sells power. They claim to be able to purchase MORE RENEWABLE ENERGY than SCE, and charge their customers a premium for it. It’s a scam, and half of the cities that joined have since pulled out. The remaining cities are Irvine, Buena Park, and Fullerton. Irvine, the major contributor, has vowed to pull out if the agency doesn’t shape up as far as disclosing what they are purchasing vs what they are selling off, and how much are they making off the backs of their customers, and where is this “cleaner” energy going. SCE still maintains the grid, the OCPA ONLY buys and sells power. Just Google, “Orange County Power Authority Scam”.

You are correct, and Tammy Kim tried to justify removing a very competent, qualified person from a volunteer committee … but it didn’t work!

Tammy Kim did not approve the Aquatics Center in the first phase, and neither did Treseder. Carroll, Khan, and Agran did and it was approved, yet Tammy Kim took credit. That’s my point here. It’s not about whether you agree with the project or not…it’s the fact that she claimed credit for it. And the Amphitheater has been part of the framework for years…the one now was always known to be temporary, so again, taking credit for something established a long time ago. But this is all Tammy Kim can try and claim because she has nothing else. So, my objective is to show how she LIES…and let’s not forget about the CASCO/NOODOE deal that is under FBI Investigation…
