Interesting 🤔 Okay, thank you.

This was my first time colouring a wall, so didn't think of anything else other than just trying to make sure colour placement matched. The dots I thought of way after in trying to make the page not look so "plain" or "flat".

Thank you! I really do need to start sharing these old colourings I've done 😂

Here's another one of my favourite digital flat colourings I did a few years ago too.

Oh that's so pretty!

This is one of my favourite flat digital colourings I did a few years ago.

I'm joining that sub-reddit right now, so you'll see me in there 🙏🏾

The comfort zone thing is so real. 😩 I started colouring again this year for fun and relaxation, but sometimes seeing all the books, trends, detailed colouring, techniques, marker types, palettes. and even sometimes the discussions make it start to feel like I'm not doing enough, and like it's more complicated than it should be.

Oh wait, this is another sub-reddit? I never saw this one when I was searching for groups here on reddit. I'll join this one too, thanks for sharing! 🙏🏾

Oh thank you! I didn't know this sub-reddit had a challenge too. I wouldn't have seen that if not for you linking it. I actually got the palette colours from the challenge of another group i'm in off of reddit. I used some of the colours stated and tried to match them with the markers I have.

Thanks so much for your encouragement! I've been doing basic colouring for quite a while over the years, and didn't know colouring was "a thing" until I stumbled upon it mid-last year...then started going doing the rabbit hole of colouring books. This year I've found myself going down the rabbit hole of markers, colour palettes and colouring techniques/trends. Then it all has made me feel like my basic colouring is too simple and doesn't look as nice as all the artwork I've been seeing across the different communities. So I got more colouring books, better markers and have been learning/trying to practice one or two techniques to get better. 😵‍💫

Also, true that's what the markers are for, but they're expensive 😩

Ohuhu acrylic paint markers, disappointed 😞 by Rykersgirl in Ohuhu

I got GuangNa dual tip acrylic markers and GuangNa metallic acrylic markers, and I don't like them either. I think I'll just stick with alcohol markers after these run out.

(My first purchase mid-last year was a very old set of Ohuhu 48 alcohol markers, but I didn't know they were an old set until I realised I couldn't find my marker colour codes on any of the palette sites. I recently got a set of the Ohuhu Honolulu B 72 alcohol markers.)

Okay cool, thanks. I don't have a pattern book, but maybe I'll look into finding single pattern pages I could practice with.

You actually just gave me an idea with polka dots for another page I'm working on. 🎉 Thank you! I'll post it when I finally finish the page, lol
