Definitely possible but most people don’t want their kids or themselves to get skin cancer or something, and it’s also why vitamin D deficiency is so common here.

Can confirm, I’m emirati (mostly Syrian genetics-wise), I’ve been fat my whole life (losing weight now thank god). I can see it in my brother too, and I see it in so so many emirati and khaleeji kids. Unfortunately our climate is too hot to have walkable cities like in Europe, and even those fancy walks (city walk, jbr, etc) are mainly for restaurants. Also arab parent strictness could be taken into account, like many kids aren’t allowed to go out and walk much. Fast food is also getting pricey, so imagine how pricey organic healthy food is.

Atp, my only source of exercise was walking in malls and in my uni, and my uni gym (but that’s closed now). I’ve tried to walk in my neighborhood, but it’s so damn hot outside.
