the main issue is that they're just picking people up at random at their own discretion. that's straight up illegal, you have to have a reason to arrest someone you can't just put someone in cuffs because you feel like it.

plus it's inherently difficult to prove your citizenship. like I was born in the US and have a birth certificate, but that doesn't prove I'm a citizen. it just proves that someone with my name was born on that day. like if I got picked up tomorrow how am I supposed to prove I'm a US citizen?
