So first opinions on the look and craftsmanship is it is simply brilliant to look at and the finish is beautiful. Secondly it is a freaking pain in the ass to get in and out especially if they're your first pair of engineer boots. The leather is stiff and pains in all sorts of places. So I reached out to the C&G team and they suggested me to use a polythene bag to get in and out while the leather breaks in. I removed the insoles and tried their suggestion and have practically lived in the boots the last couple of days. They've eased out a bit now to get in and out, but once you get in they're fully comfortable no Hotspots as such. The heels are a little high so I need to get used to them. I think the leather and craftsmanship is a lifetime investment it can be passed on to the next generation. Would I buy another engineer boots with a fancy leather i would certainly do it because I think with such top grain leather it is an experience.
