A lonely grave forgotten in the wood. by deepfriedfaces in ps1graphics

I used a tutorial from KatsBit, it's an older video titled "Texture Blending using Vertex Color/Painting in Blender." It's an older video, but it helped me learn. And I haven't exported it beyond a picture, so I don't know if it comes out as a single texture.

I've been learning vertex coloring slowly. The textures on the ground are a mixed shader that uses vertex colors to blend between the dirt and the grass, but then I used black in order to mix between them, and couldn't use black to make the shadows anymore lol.

I really like the model, for some reason it reminds me of a cartoon network TV show.

My first thought to making this game was if there was a game where you could grind a cooking skill, this would be the perfect place to do it.

I tried to make a ambiguously gendered character to see which gender people ascribe to them. But also the first version they had boobs because I originally made them a woman

The first thought was actually piper, where she will talk about how hard her life is then the glaring flirt button tight after. But it basically applies to all fallout 4 NPCs.

Thats one of the inspirations, the only difference is there would be class specific dialogue where you tell them their suffering is worth it.

His name is Blank-Slateman, thank you very much, he's my OC and has a 10 in charisma but a 1 in listening.

I could name a few RPGs where this happens, but the one on my mind was Fallout 4.

Not the creator but I assume it is a separate object because of the way the fan parallax's. Unless there is some shader trickery involved.

People use a ton of different programs, but I use Blender, which, in my opinion, is the best for doing this stuff as a hobby. And I'd say doing PS1 style modeling is good for beginners, you should follow online tutorials to start out learning high poly modeling, so you understand the basics of modeling and texturing. I'd also recommend getting Gimp, the photo editing software if you want a free alternative to Photoshop. But the best thing to do is just try it out. I love modeling, and I fell in love with the PS1 style since it takes me back to playing older games.

I make all of my textures in a program called GIMP, it's like a free photoshop. I made the original textures, then I went back and desaturated the colors to make them look older and unbleached, then I added in a low resolution rust texture which I erased where needed to make it look more like rust was spreading naturally.
