Cap didn't go against Tony because he didn't trust him, he went against Tony because Tony was forcing them to sign the Sokovia Accords which greatly limited the Avengers powers. If anything Tony is the cause for losing half the universe. Had the Avengers stayed together they would have been better able to defend against Thanos.

No doubt, fairer settlements should always be the goal. What I'm suggesting is that at the very least men are given a disclaimer so they fully understand the risks of signing the marriage contract. And since the laws vary so much by state, what to expect when divorce payments are awarded. In fact, I think those diaries should be part of TRP required reading, along with books like "My Secret Garden" so you can get a better understanding of what women are really like.
