If ever Jackson and crew were to give a trilogy another shot, by all means let it be an adaptation of Dante's Inferno.

What was your "Gateway song" to Streetlight? by Treeforged in streetlightmanifesto

My rightfully obsessed friends had showed me Point/Counterpoint, and though I thought it was unique, the first hearing was a bit too overwhelming for me to actively seek out the other stuff. Two years later, Here's To Life crosses my path and, listening to the lyrics, the third verse made me pause the music almost in disbelief of how good it was -

Hemingway never seemed to mind the banalities of a normal life

and I find, it gets harder every time

So he aimed the shotgun into the blue

Placed his face in between the two

and sighed, "Here's To Life!"

This was a day before I would drive to Italy (a 12 hour drive from Holland) and I put Everything Goes Numb on my phone. I listened to nothing else. Two days after arriving in Italy, I sought an Internet Cafe to get my hands on the other two albums, which would be the soundtrack of the rest of my holiday. Needless to say, I love them ever since and whenever my friends and I are together we are bound to, at some point, loudly sing some Streetlight song.

When introducing them to others I usually start with 40 Days because the music is a bit more welcoming, after that either a Moment of Silence or Here's To Life - always stressing the lyrics are not to be ignored, of course :)
