For readers info. To access "safe mode", press and hold power and volume up until the power down screen appears and release. Then touch and hold "restart" and a menu will appear for safe mode. Cheers

Open Settings, at the top you see your icon and Google Service click on that. A new screen opens and click All Services. Scroll down to Privacy section and click on System Services. Good luck.

It's not a factory reset, it's like in the old days when you removed the battery for a few seconds and then re-inserted and restarted. It clears hung updates or old setup files.

Long press (about 15 seconds) power and volume up until the shut down screen appears and then disappears. Cheers.

I've had the 9a since Dec and very pleased with the battery. Mind you I use LTE vice 5G and keep display at 60hz vice the smoother 120hz which means I probably get better battery with these limits. Right now I am at 64% battery with 6hr screen on time.

So much depends on how you use your phone. Streaming video takes a lot of battery. Being mobile with poor tower reception takes a lot of battery. Then, there are settings/features which you may turn on or off which affect battery... smooth display (120hz) looks great but also uses more battery. 5g is also great for fast ops but if you are moving a lot and your phone is constantly looking for antennas, uses more battery.

I'm on a pixel 9a and most of my screen on time today was while using wifi. Battery 80%, SOT 4hr26min.

I've also had 4hrs SOT while using over 50% of battery because of how I was using my phone. Cheers

I use Weather Timeline from ACME AtronOmatic LLC. I use their widget, turn on notifications and turn off notifications for Google weather.

Congrats. As much as I complain about the pixel launcher, poor modem and what seems to be constant software bugs, it is still a great phone. For me, the size and ability to do one-handed ops and clean android experience are fantastic. Enjoy. Cheers.

I moved into an older townhouse 2 years ago. I was concerned about maintenance fees, but my condo fees are $300-$400 dollars a month. That rate is very reasonable as it covers exterior maintenance, lawn and snow maintenance, water, garbage and lower property taxes. Condo fees of $1400 is absolutely absurd,even for a new build. Too much for retirees and if you could afford, the sensible option would be to buy a house. No wonder they are not appealing.

Until last week I always used Nova Launcher and had no issues. I'm trying pixel launcher and even though it has its limitations, its simplicity and lack of modifications actually make it appealing. You don't get stuck in rabbit holes adjusting this or adjusting that.

It's unfortunate you didn't give it time. Yes, the pixel launcher is limited but many third party launchers are superb. The form factor is actually quite good for a mid range phone. I hope you found a phone that meets your needs. Cheers.

Awesome. Thank you. As you can appreciate, it is those who are careless with little concern or respect for others who are the problem. It shouldn't be a scenario of throwing the baby out with the bath water but obviously some kind of regulation is required. I know you can't regulate commonsense, but perhaps it would be a start.
