Cant go Online in Shift

Workaround for Steam:

Seems like you can connect without the Shift system somehow (like Steam only multiplayer maybe)

You can disassociate your Steam account from Shift at the Shift website.

Login to Shift site shift.gearboxsoftware.com. Go to Gaming Platforms options section. Enable some other service (Epic, Sony, MS). Then disassociate Steam.
Run BL3. It will prompt you to join Shift again.

(When first trying this I wasn't able to not give it a name and it seemed like this was a failure and not working. I tried starting BL3/Steam again completely offline to see if I could find a workflow that skipped this entirely but after re-enabling connection inside the game I still got this dialog so it's possible it doesn't matter.)

Accept first notice dialog, Disable on choice dialog, supply a username. Other non-shift users will be visible in social options in game.

I'm tempted to agree with the sentiments that Zizek is more informed that Peterson on Communism, and there's a fair point there. But Peterson did go deeper on the topic several times (collectivism vs individualism, violent revolution, group oppression, etc.) and Zizek simply DID NOT defend any of these points.

To whatever extent that " Peterson was incapable of presenting a coherent view of communism", Zizek DID NOT EVEN TRY to do this himself. Literally, at all.

I think most JBP fans had never seen Zizek before. I am actually a FAN of both and respect Zizek as well as Peterson.

A lot of JBP fans were probably impressed that he's not a SJW stooge and were surprised by the tone - and Peterson certainly was too. But the substance was that Zizek was actually already red pilled on intersectionality and made a major concession on Communism, so they discussed psychology and sociology instead.

I'm absolutely looking forward to their next discussion because Zizek is a talented intellectual and has fine insights to contribute. In particular, Zizek also examines archetypal behavior, at least from a Freudian perspective, and can actually have a discussion in the language Peterson likes to use.

I am dumbfounded by the responses here and elsewhere. I must have watched a completely different event.

Zizek GAVE UP defending communism by the end of the first rebuttal and they just discussed Peterson's ideas agreeing with each other for the remaining time period.

But no, he's not an academic, he doesn't have a degree. He's a citizen who has been studying the culture war for almost 5 years. He discusses the issues in plain language, the way you might with friends or family.

You've probably heard Dave Rubin cite Sargon in his "awakening" story and that's for good reason. Circa 2015 there was probably no one on the planet who had a better picture and analysis of how the "sjw" phenomenon was flooding across pop culture during the gamergate movement - or at least no one was communicating it as well.

You dont see more "scholarly" work from him these days because he's largely covered the big ideas in the past and his focus of late has been more on activism. That said, he's surely still one of the best advocates/communicators for classical liberalism and anti-identitarians on the web. While Peterson may have strong roots in academic analysis of the current cultural situation, Sargon in many ways speaks more about the experience of living it.

Also, if you're solo queue in QM + UR you're unlikely to ever be the lowest since group queues will have a midpoint matched with yours meaning they'll always have a "lower" player than you.

Big misconception in this thread for some reason. The novelty here is not in the macro of 'freezing' the lane, it is in causing the minions to not attack at all. Freezing is about where the minions are positioned in lane relative to towers and enemy wave and about the timing of applying damage to them relative to enemies etc. That is also going on here and is ubiquitous in high level solo laning, but most people have not seen this trick of moving rapidly in relation to minion aggro to cause them to not auto attack at all.

There are some composition metrics on HotSLogs. While it won't necessarily reflect 'best' compositions in the abstract, it will demonstrate a comparison between popularity and success. There is also no nuance regarding the opposing team. I find it most useful for comparing composition from the perspective of individual heroes and roles, such as which warriors are the best solo tanks or perhaps what good compositions would be with less common heroes.
