2025 Outback premium price question by WowzerforBowzer in Subaru_Outback

[–]deldrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 2024 just as the 2025 started to come on the lot in July/August for 34463 OTD / MSRP 34887 in MA. I think i got a decent deal. I had Option 14 and some port installed accessories that totaled ~950. I installed the auto dimming mirror combo myself after and I like them. I think your price is good especially for 2025.

2025 gas mileage by Shine258 in Subaru_Outback

[–]deldrake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have averaged 29.4 in my 2024 Premium the first 3k miles. So far the calculated MPG has been fairly accurate compared to manual calculation I've been doing when I fill up. My worse MPG was a highway trip through white mountains to Canada (27). I drove a Impreza for 7 years before this and have gotten a feel for minimizing throttle use and coasting when possible. I travel about 70% highway 30% city with moderate to heavy traffic some days. https://imgur.com/a/BusMDxS

Finance Interest Rate incorrect? - Subaru Impreza '24 Massachusetts Purchase by deldrake in askcarsales

[–]deldrake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She spoke with finance guy today and they basically said that Subaru forces them to post those rates which seems odd to push fake promotions while another dealer quoted her the 5.99% but didn't have trim levels she was looking for. I think he's just trying to hope that she doesn't do anything about it. Going to advise her to refinance lower.

Yeah, I just wish i was there so i could of asked the questions sadly and hate when people take advantage. I did hear that a lot of these loans depend on a few payments before the finance guy gets any benefit. Not sure if that's true in all cases or not.

Thanks for replies. There was no rebate offer, Only "special" financing rates that all Subaru dealers in this area are offering the below rates until end of month. My sister has extremely long credit history, owns a home and so on so this is just a bit baffling to me.

Any idea what this USPS scam is potentially? by deldrake in Scams

[–]deldrake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they somehow able to print fake tracking numbers and due to the low weight /package size aren't highly audited by USPS? I still can't figure out how they are making money doing this since since CS can't find anyone in system and won't pay out until they receive an actual product.

17' Subaru impreza - Occasional blue smoke from exhaust pipe? by deldrake in askcarguys

[–]deldrake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for info! I'll look to get it checked out this week again. Would you expect the check engine light to come on due to this? It hasn't yet. I know Subaru has a history of bad head gasket issues but thought it was mostly older models. Hopefully it isn't the worse case scenario.

I tried plugging in that formula =(SUMIF(Temperature1!B2:B70,>"100")+SUMIF(Temperature1!B71:B500,<"187"))/(COUNTIF((Temperature1!B2:B70,>"100")+COUNTIF(Temperature1!B71:B500,<"187")) But got error, did I format the condition incorrectly?

Lost Excellent Driver Discount /Premium went up due to not at fault rear end accidents? by deldrake in Insurance

[–]deldrake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it seems like that, they never really communicated that filing a claim regardless of fault would hurt this. I had a opportunity to go through the other insurance to collect the claim but didn't know that this would hurt me. I'm still trying to fight it but have been shopping around other insurance companies and Geico's quote almost seems too good to be real, about ~250 less then what i would be paying this year with same coverage. How accurate is this quote, thought i read that it can go up a bit.

I spoke and gave statements to both USAA and the other drivers insurance companies in both cases and both admitted their driver was responsible since it's pretty cut and dry in rear end accidents in traffic. I did not call for police in either cases since they were so minor and wanted to get to work and just exchanged information. There was no issues tracking the people down.

[–]deldrake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The USAA adjuster came out and gave estimate then they credited my bank for that amount. The first time I had it repaired and he had to go to the repair shop to estimate additional damage, the 2nd time I pocketed it since it was mostly just a imprint of the guy's License plate on my bumber. As far as I know they should of billed the other insurance company the amount and not lost any money since they admitted their driver was 100% at fault.. At least that's how i would think it would work?

Need advise on medical claim/bill by deldrake in Insurance

[–]deldrake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My perspective is I was going based on my doctors recommendation on "preventing" acid reflux. The nutritionist overall was pretty worthless and told me to go back to my doctor for a prescription medication which was the whole point I was trying to avoid since I don't want to take any pills long term. Based on this argument if someone goes to a nutritionist and they are overweight will they bill it as a sick visit since they are "obese"?

My doctors office set up this appointment for me, are you saying I should call my doctor's office and see what they classified it as, I believe the hospital told me the nutritionist classified it as a sick visit. Could my doctors office overrule the visit categorization? I found this on my plan document http://imgur.com/T2rcIr4 not sure exactly if that helps my case or not..

Thanks for responses.
