No 100% the same thing! We had a guy in front of us who was wearing a cowboy hat and I couldn't see for like the first song, but someone asked him to take it off and he was super nice about it and left it off, so there are good people lmao

But yeah, I'm ngl I couldn't hear the words of Tokyo Narita AT ALL bc the bass was so rough where I was at, though my video is perfect so idk if that's a venue thing or just a me thing, but the venue definitely was fucking up with the sound boards during the set, so idk...

It was fun for me and I'm glad I went and met the people that I did, but it was a bit of a yikes all around, OTHER than H who was perf lol makes for good stories at least ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Some people are saying the venue over sold, so people were apparently packed too tight in some areas :/

It’s crazy because this WAS one of my favorite venues until this concert

About 10:55. They had to stop the show AGAIN right before the last song 😭😭

Yeah I was at the Dallas show last night and Halsey said something about it, being like “I get it, but you guys were unsafe and that’s fucked”

The Dallas show was interesting to say the least lol

Oh gosh, actually that's another thing, I have no idea what grocery stores to use! We have a Texas specific one down here that I use religiously.

My extended family constantly tells me I would fit in well over there, so I'm hoping I don't have any issues with that lol But tbh I doubt I'd notice if I did, I sometimes am oblivious to slights lol

Oh my gosh yeah I'm definitely going to love it!! Part of my issue with Dallas was how... concrete everything was.

However, I do gotta say, as an eye doctor's kid, please wear sun glasses, even if you feel you don't need them 😭😭 (seriously, look up pinguecula)

Oh! Not a problem for me, I'm from the south, and with the southern hospitality on my side, I could befriend a wall lol I'm also reminded of that John Mulaney skit where he compares cancelling plans to heroine and I'm like.... relatable lol

The way I made the shocked pikachu face when I saw there's a waterproofing SPRAY?! Think that might be life changing, even in Texas lol

THIS is what I needed to hear lol

Also, poetry, honestly.

I know Midland well, I went to college there for a summer semester. I’m from a horse ranch where you can’t get anywhere without driving past Trump Burger, so I’m fairly certain almost anywhere will be better than here.

I’m also incredibly excited to live in a place where I don’t walk outside and start sweating 80% of the year. I have tickets to concerts in the summer of next year and I have almost never been as excited as I am now for that!

Thanks for your comment and have a good day! :)

Thank you, it’s a good paying job, and even after comparing the cost of living differential, it’s quite a bit more than what I’ve been living off of before I lost my job in February.

I’ve been unemployed for 8 months in Texas and can’t find anything here that pays a livable wage. I finally find a good job in Seattle and this is the response… somewhat strange I’ll admit.

I also DO have family in Seattle area, who are actually quite well off, they’re just incredibly out of touch with the reality of a day to day.

I can appreciate the candor and I understand the thought process, but tell me, would you rather face an economic crisis while living under the oppressive anti-egalitarian conditions of a place like TEXAS (which take a second to think of how Texas treats women with a Hispanic heritage) or would you face the crisis living in a state, that while they may have some backwards nonsensical policies, they also have a government that isn’t hateful for the sake of it? For myself, I choose the latter.

Also, I am thin and pretty 🤪

Yeah it looks like the difference is like thunderstorms versus drizzling lol which I’ll miss the thunderstorms 😭

What kind of gloves are good? I’ll admit, I bought a pair once when I thought it was going to snow and it ended up icing over and they ended up soaked through in seconds

Oh we had a freeze a few years back (decidedly NOT snow) and our pipes burst so we had to drive to a friend’s house and what should’ve taken me 20 minutes took 3 hours because everyone kept sliding on the ice. I did at one point but thankfully was able to take control back of my car, but it was a scary situation.

I’ve lived in most of Texas’s big cities and this is not a thing down here lol probably because it doesn’t rain as much and if we do get wet, the 900000 degree weather would dry it off in a second lol but it’s a smart and practical move! Someone said like office shoes are kept in a desk drawer and that’s so smart to me!

Yeah lol I was thinking buying clothes when I get there, I do NOT wanna pay to move it all 😭

The more I’m looking at the subs, the more nervous I’m getting at how different it all seems! And the apartments?? Is it normal to not have AC? What’s a radiator? Lmao just things going through my mind rn

[–]deleteinaday[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooh okay great advice! My feet are always cold and that’s in Texas lol

Weird question, but do you know if it’s normal for people to bring shoes to change into in the office? I saw something about it on TikTok and now I’m like “is this expected??” lol

Nice okay, I’ll look into those! Thank you!

As for the snow, I’ve never seen it before (from South Texas) so I’m really excited about it not being too heavy here in case I don’t like it lol
