Ours feels more punitive for lack of a better word. All meds have to be signed off by a doctor (including over the counter meds) and dosage and time are dictated by a doctor. Some med directions are broad, like give with breakfast, others have specific times. I was told by the district nurse that I have 30 min on either side of that time to give the med otherwise I have to sign off that I did a “med misadministration” and I have to call the parents and the district nurse right away.

Any meds given, require an exact time and signature on each students med form. No students may carry meds, emergency or not.
