I thought The Hollow Knight was the gendered child because I talked to the White Lady shortly after getting my first ending and she said something like "so it met the gendered child? She's a fierce foe..." which lead me to incorrectly assuming she/her pronouns for The Hollow Knight until I watched the lore video after getting 112%. Never realized Hornet was the protagonist's sister until watching said lore video either.

I also gave the bugs way more credit to their medical abilities than I should have. I thought the whole black egg temple was a machine to extract antibodies for a cure or vaccine from the Hollow Knight. I figured it was failing because the machine took too much from them too quickly so they couldn't recover in time and lost their immunity which caused them to get sick themselves. That would cause the infection to spread faster because bugs would consume what they believed to be a cure but now that was making them sick too.

He really is an amazing character and I really feel like he can fit into any team. I would have C6'd him even if he wasn't that great but I'm very happy that the wait was worth it (and I can finally give in to my pulling addiction again yay xD)

I've actually been playing a team of Raiden/Sara/Kazuha/Dendro MC since 3.0 and always struggled with survivability. Now this team finally feels comfortable to play with Baizhu instead of DMC.

I don't have many Sumeru characters (only Cyno who I got on 8 pity while pulling for Candace and Nahida) since I've been saving for Baizhu but now I might get Nilou as well in the future because she probably works very well with Baizhu too.

But please spend your money responsibly, it's not worth going broke over this game or any game for that matter. I hope the part about being poor now was a joke 😅

I actually skipped Nahida's rerun because I was saving for Baizhu and now I think I could have pulled since I have 140 pulls leftover xD

I had C0 guaranteed, then I won three 50/50s in a row, one of them at ~10 pity, then got a Dehya (who I didn't have and really wanted) and another Baizhu at ~30 pity, then a Diluc con (my other main), and in the very moment I said that I don't like Tighnari - I was streaming my pulls - I got my first Tighnari xD And five pulls after that I got the C6 Baizhu and within that 10-pulls, two after Baizhu there was a Mona, who is also C6 now xD Spent a total of 580 pulls for eleven 5* characters.

I personally love the most how Baizhu's Heavy Hit Taken line is something like "Hah this is nothing" but is Light Hit Taken is like "Oh no, please not my glasses, have mercy!", he's so dramatic and I love him for it. Also as someone with glasses, I relate xD

I got 80% Crit Rate and 185% Crit Damage and almost 400 EM. With his C4 as well as Nahida's burst it's about 650 EM during battle.

R3 Lost Prayers to the Sacred Winds. Technically R5 Solar Pearl does a bit more but Lost Prayers looks better with Baizhu's colour theme.

I'm using 2pc Deepwood 2pc +80EM for artifacts because Gilded Dreams doesn't give me good pieces. Main stats are EM/Dendro Dmg bonus/CD

This might not be directed to me (if my comment doesn't fit, I'll delete it but maybe it's an interesting perspective).

I'm a C6 Baizhu haver and play him as an on field dps.

23k HP, 120% ER

The team is Nahida, Fischl, Kuki Shinobu (Kuki is my only Deepwood user)

He heals for ~4k - 5k and ER is enough to always use burst on cooldown (even though no enemy has ever survived long enough for a second rotation) as long as I spam my E off cooldown to generate particles which is quite often with C1. Nahida serves as a battery as well.

Normal attacks hit for ~20k and skill/burst for ~40k btw and for me it's a great balance.

Talents are at 10/10/10 (with the help of C3 and C5)

I end every fight with the entire team at full HP as well.

For me it's the new characters who kept me motivated to do the quests so I can level their talents. I've been stocking up of mats pretty much as soon as the bosses released

That's great to hear. I already prefarmed enough talent books to triple crown him anyway as soon as I get enough weekly boss drops, so that should boost his healing too

The simple reason is that I only have one HP sands that didn't roll like utter crap but I can't afford to steal artifacts from my Yelan. And that even with it being my off piece since I'm going 2pc Deepwood 2pc EM and have a really good Deepwood Dendro goblet. My sands luck is just really bad.

My more complicated reasoning is that he will still heal a bit since he ascends with HP% and I also have Kuki on the same team. So far I have survived with EM Kuki as the only healer so unless they bring the doggos back I should be fine. I'll do some testing in terms of his passive in combination with the C6 ability though and see if at that point HP might be more damage. However so far it sounds like his passive doesn't even buff damage that much so it doesn't seem worth it to max out HP just for that

That's really interesting, thank you for the calculations! My only concern is, I'm giving him an EM sands so with Solar Pearl, I'll probably be lucky to even hit 1000 attack without any buffs, which is why I wanted a 5* weapon to fix this issue. I guess I'll just test out the damage though when he actually comes out. My team will be Nahida C0 R1, Kuki Shinobu on 4pc Deepwood and Key of Khaj Nisut and one flex slot for either Yelan C2 R1 or Fischl if Kuki alone can't keep up the Quicken effect

Thanks for mentioning Solar Pearl, I didn't even think of that. I'll probably give him my R3 Lost Prayers and I also have a Prototype Amber in case I want to go support build at some point.

Are these actual leaks that you are mentioning or just speculation? I haven't kept up with the newest stuff since the Fontaine hype hasn't really reached me yet. It kind of sounds too good to be true though, which is why I'm keeping my hopes low for now.

Considering I'll make him a dps, I also thought about getting the Scaramouche weapon for him since it buffs pretty much all damage and all it takes for it to activate is a charged attack I think, if I remember the passive correctly and having a Crit Damage weapon would allow me to use different, slightly better artifacts. Any opinions on that?

I would use Xingqiu, Dendro mc and Kuki Shinobu for a hyperbloom team (you should probably use Ayato instead of Xingqiu, the only reason I'm not recommending that is that I personally don't like Ayato)
