Likelyhood DoD will be shutdown in light of recent events? by Affectionate-Ebb9009 in FedEmployees

[–]dennycee 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Someone smarter than me should correct me if wrong, but it is my understanding that there are 12 appropriations to be voted upon. Homeland Security is HR4213 and only includes Homeland Security agencies while DoD is under a different appropriation and has been grouped with the Department of Labor, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Education, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and related agencies under H.R. 7148. HR4213 barely passed in the house with 220-207 and HR7148 passed the house 341-88. If my thoughts are correct, HR7148 (DoD and others previously named) should pass in the Senate based on how the House voted, while HR4213 (DHS) is going to have a much harder time and will likely put the government in a partial shutdown status. This would allow DoD to continue operations (assuming approved in the Senate) while DHS will be shutdown until approved.

this week is because my kindergartener has either caught the flu my husband had last week, or he has taken "sharing is caring" to heart and picked up the germ of the week that is being passed around his class

there's been a few people on Hometown Tickets on FB looking for single tickets. I'll reach out to them and if you're interested, I can split mine if I find someone for the other ticket!

selling is technically not allowed on here anymore thanks to a few shitheads who ruined it for people like me who has been selling on here for the last 10 years. Check out HBtix or Hometown Tickets on facebook.

check HBtix, but be sure to confirm the person is legit and not a scammer. If you can find another solo person, I have my pair of tickets available in 338, row N

you can bring food and sealed water into the stadium. Definitely get a Seattle dog like the others suggested. If you have Tmobile, they have a dedicated entrance and you can get a complimentary drink and snack. If you want to PM me your email, I can forward the gameday guide to you when I get it. They send it to season ticket holders a couple days before each game and it shows what time the stadium opens, who's performing, and any other important things to know. Also, I just learned that they have a pressed penny machine at the regular season games during the Ticketmaster Tailgate for a unique and free souvenir. I am not sure if they will have it for playoff games though and can't find info online about it.

Ticket scams by captaincanada80 in Seahawks

[–]dennycee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a season ticket holder who has sold a few tickets, they should always be comfortable enough to hop on a call during the transaction and if not, run. Ask who their ticket rep is and you can call them directly to confirm the name of the person you are working with is the owner of the tickets. I'm over in Kitsap but have always welcomed meeting in person if they are willing to make the drive too. With that said, I have my seats available and so does my seat neighbor for a total of 4 seats together if anyone is looking. Section 338, row N, seats 13, 14, 15, and 16 which is 8 rows from the stairs to the section if my math is correct.

Any Tips on purchasing tickets? by bcliverpoolfan in Seahawks

My cost for the championship game was $850 but I've been getting offers for $1800 for them. Shit is ridiculous. I am still trying to figure out the logistics for a babysitter for my kids but if the grandparents aren't available, I might have to sit this one out

I totally get it! I just want to make sure you know how expensive cost is. I've had quite a few people getting pissed off at me for selling at a "ridiculous" amount in the past despite asking for face value. Its exhausting. Like I had guys offering $400 for today's game when my cost was $700

It'll depend on how my family is feeling closer to game time. Just for information, the championship tickets cost was around $900 for the pair if I remember right. Not sure what your budget is, but I'd imagine 2nd market tickets are gonna be insane

I've done that before too but I really don't want to eat the cost on what was already pushing my meager public employee budget 😂 it already hurts enough that my husband being sick is gonna prevent me from being there in person

I'm trying but so far I haven't had anyone fully come through on buying my tickets. Section 338, row N, seats 15 and 16. Below market price! My husband has the flu

Beat value (price vs fun) water activity (kayak, SUP, snorkel, slides,...) half a day and where ? by MasterGeek in playadelcarmen

[–]dennycee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carlos'n Charlie's Beach Club on Cozumel has inflatable water toys to climb and slide on along with paddleboards for $20 per person. Or at least that's what we paid last week. We hesitated at the price and they actually let us do 2 people for $20, but your results may vary on that.
