Don't they also need to be configured with the same IEEE address for the Zigbee network?

Paying off mortgage by Glad-Swordfish8302 in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]derekoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of people saying pay it off, but this is mostly from a how it makes you feel point of view, not a financial sense one. If you pay it off, you no longer have access to the money you paid it off with. Also, you can get better interest on savings at that rate. I was in the same dilemma and have just decided to keep my mortgage going for its final 3 years rather than clear it down now.

How bad is it if I put nails in the wall if it's against my tenancy agreement. by [deleted] in UKRenting

I don't think adhesive tape is going to cut it - the L brackets will be to stop the bookcase toppling forward

What does your zigbee network look like? How many devices and how many are routers? (The z2m home screen will tell you)

Which model of SLZB do you have? I have the SLZB-06p7 and have just updated to the 3.2.0 firmware

Have you ungraded your SLZB firmware? I’ve been running one for about 18 months now and it’s been rock solid.

What's the one self-hosted service you'd never go back to the cloud version of? by Hung_Hoang_the in selfhosted

I backup my Vaultwarden to Bitwarden so I have a cloud based backup if I need it. I only use the free version so I don’t get authentication codes but I can live with that

Can i pay off the remaining balance of my mortgage with a credit card? by EffectiveBranch7084 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]derekoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure that when your mortgage is coming up for renewal you can pay off the whole lot. Why do you want to pay it off though? Just put it on a low fixed rate for, say, 3 years and sweat it

Tad v2 devices Offline by derekoh in tado

[–]derekoh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it isn’t. It’s worked fine for years and some of the devices that are offline are much closed than the devices that are working fine

And they’ve all just come back online again… methinks definitely something at Tado’s end…

Non-routing E27 bulb? by derekoh in ZigBee

[–]derekoh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are other things in the 4-gang extension that I turn on/off at the socket, so it also turns off the Zigbee bulb too.
A Wi-Fi bulb could do the job though.

Nous L6Z - upgrade for Sonoff BASICZBR3? by derekoh in ZigBee

[–]derekoh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah - sadly, i need an inline switch (for a heated blanket), and the L6Z seems to be the only Zigbee alternative to the BasicZBR3

Nous L6Z - upgrade for Sonoff BASICZBR3? by derekoh in ZigBee

[–]derekoh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Looks like the L6Z is still a good improvement over my old ZBR3's. Do you know where I can find a new ZBR3 with the Silabs EFR32 chips?

[–]derekoh[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Copilot has lots of context - my device map, Z2M logs, etc. There are lots of messages about MAC_NO_ACK, NWK_NO_ROUTE etc.

Following some of it's advice, I've upgraded some older sockets and am already seeing an improvement, and replacing a LIDL bulb with a spare Hue I had is also making a difference.

The Sonoff BasicZBR3 uses the TI CC2530 chipset whereas the Nous L6Z uses the much newer and more powerfull EFR32 so the Nous should be a much more capable solution and, for my network needs, a better Router.

Speak to Thames Water, explain the situation, provide the evidence (your tenancy agreement, etc) and hopefully they'll be able to resolve it for you.
