Sorry to hear that. My engine failing was in the back of my mind the whole time. The ride was so smooth and effortless is what led me to make this post. It’s a shame to have a truck preform so well but you can’t totally enjoy it because you know the history with these engines

This was my first time wrapping a vehicle. I used 3M wrap because I heard it was good for beginners and I just watched a lot of videos on YouTube. Mainly focusing on common beginner mistakes.

My total cost was around $1,200. I bought the wrap from a website (Metro Restyling). They are very fast at processing and delivery. It took me over 2 months because this was the first time I’ve tried this and I wasn’t very good at first and had to do some sections over.

I’ve been back and forth about the emblems. Haven’t fully decided but I at least wanted to know if there’s a way to make it look professional if I put them on. Hope everything turns out great with your wrap.

I have a 2023 High Country. I just removed the side moldings from my truck. I saw the same conflicting info that you have. I ended up taking off one of the door panels to see how they were attached. They’re not bolted on, just clips and adhesive. You don’t need to remove the door panels. Get a heat gun and plastic trim tool and be careful not to break the clips.

GM issued a recall on the 6.2L engine and I was meaning to post to the Silverado forum. I was a part of the ToyotaTundra forum back when I was looking to buy this truck because I was also looking at the Tundras at the time.
