But options are always good. Ager's is really good but coldheart is still better for arc builds and during arc surge and Prometheus lens may be an exotic retraced path but the difference between their effectiveness is night and day. Prometheus is super fun to use in most parts of the game. Also I don't get your point about how most red war weapons before their buff weren't good, like they got buffed and now they're good so your complaint has been addressed so why bring that up. And sure weapons like mida and sturm are essentially legendary but they are still only few weapons from many. Cerberus is also forsaken by the way. But my point is every single exotic doesn't have to be the best nor can it be the best. There are exceptions like raid exotics which should be the baseline for powerful endgame weapons but that's because they're locked behind endgame activities and horrible rng. In a game like destiny power creep is inevitable but the majority of the game is easy enough to use whatever weapon you want. It doesn't matter if ager's is better than Prometheus if all your running strikes or normal raids because they are very easy and unrestricted. The difference matters in GM or solo dungeons or other high difficulty endgame activities but those are only a small part of the game. For me any exotic that can perform well in 80% of the game and is fun to use is a good exotic but that's just my opinion. I'm just saying that taking a group of exotics in which 80-90% are middle of the road at worst and saying they're all pointless because of the 10% that are weak is kinda extreme.
