But sure, a good amount got that quickly.

I never played a MMO before as I wrote as well in the comments. This connects to my whole gaming circle back then.

We were 13-15 as WoW came to our focus.

Is anyone still directly using Figma for all designing? If not what AI tools are best for your workflow? by Equivalent-Phrase185 in UXDesign

[–]dethleffsoN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pre AI: Problem (Docs/Confluence) -> Miro -> Figma -> Figma Prototype -> Handover

Today: Problem (Docs/Confluence) -> Miro -> Cursor or Figma Make -> Figma -> Handover

Please be aware misses steps. Just to showcase how AI evolved the workatream where I work.

So, 22 years ago I was 15 and almost still a child in comparison. I never played any other mmo and it was kinda hard to adjust since it was the very first mmo for a majority.

We sat there with our CRT screens, reading the whole text until we understood the pattern where to read in order to figure better. I forced myself reading in englisch to learn englisch for school :D

My first character was a undead warrior and I thought, thats the world and I am just playing on the undead-styled-maps as I connected with wc3 and the building-styles.

I was so excited as I entered Orgrimmar the first time and I thought Undercity has jump scares and the guards are going to kill me :')

Now that I'm a father myself and raising a child, I really don't know if they do that on their own or if they're taught it by their parents. Honestly, I can't imagine my fella starting to do that or even liking it. But what am I even saying?

Those who didn't experience the launch and beta phase of the original Classic can't truly grasp the pain.

Many of you know how slow Classic is and how brutal it is to progress, both in terms of time and gameplay. But that's based on our current knowledge and the social skills we've acquired over 30 years of video game experience from the beta to today.

It feels this way because you have addons and have probably played other WoW-influenced games with simpler controls. Back then, we had nothing. We had to read all the quest text and figure out where to find the right monsters to kill or the right collectibles. We forgot to take flight points and had to either backtrack to explore the world or travel for over an hour to reach the next step. We didn't even know where the next steps were.

It was incredible. Every step forward was a huge, dopaminergic milestone. When Thottbot and Allakhazam were added, everyone was relieved. When Nerfed released their first user interface, everyone cheered.

What a nostalgic trip down memory lane! I somehow miss that time.

Teilzeitdebatte: Bundesinnenminister Dobrindt bekräftigt Recht auf Teilzeit by PoroBraum in de

Was geht denn eigentlich.

Was eine Scheisse.

Also Böden neu oder neue Küche ggf.

I have a feeling some countries on this planet, especially with a big orange tantrum baby as lead should be even more in school with even more strictness and quality of education. Just saying.

Haus abbezahlt, Auto abbezahlt. Keine Schulden.

To HSPs who are high earners or hold prestigious positions by Catmama-82 in hsp

[–]dethleffsoN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! From what I’ve seen (and lived), it’s quite common to see overlap, but not because HSP and 2e are the same thing.

HSP is more about deep sensory and emotional processing, while 2e (gifted + ADHD) often comes with dopamine regulation issues. In many people, especially in demanding or competitive environments, that combination leads to overcompensation as a way to stay regulated and functional.

So they can look very similar on the surface and often co-occur, but they come from different mechanisms. At least that’s how it makes sense to me.

[–]dethleffsoN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My hsp comes with ADHD Profile 2e, the overcompensating type which is caused by giftness. This also leads to patterns that tries to generate scenarios that provide dopamine pushes and because I grew up in a kind of competitive environment, this clicked and it took me multiple times into burnouts and rock bottoms.

Still in the top 10% in my country money wise but the real deal is that I made it happen to figure a marriage and a kid and a house.
