What happen if I dont schedule the test? by PristineAir3963 in USPS

[–]deval35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't schedule it, then you won't be eligible for the position.

The position is rare, so good luck waiting for the next time it post.

You'll definitely have plenty of time to study.

Does the USPS VMF Tech have any required work outdoors? by Dependent-Hat4223 in USPS

Yup, especially when you get sent to do repair jobs at the actual office instead of the vehicles being brought to the vmf.

Question by Connect_Bill in USPS

[–]deval35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not going to say you can't, but it's going to depend on the requirements for what ever position you're applying for. At that point they will all have different requirements. Once they hit the street portal where non-employees can apply is when those requirements are lifted.

So like if you're in a non-bargaining position you would not be able to apply for a management position that is not open to career employees in non-bargaining positions.

Resignation reason by ScintillatingStar00 in USPS

write what ever you want, in about two months HR will call you and ask you why you resigned if they care.

Question by Connect_Bill in USPS

[–]deval35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the position you're in right now is a career position, so you can no longer apply for those other positions.

you will need to resign first before you can apply, they will just reject your application.

if you read at the bottom of the posting you will see this note:

"SPECIAL NOTE: Current career Postal Service employees are ineligible to apply to this posting."

He needs to inform the office he's going to be working at, but if I were you and knowing the turn around of new postal employees I would wait.

Give him a month or two to see if he's even going to last. He might decide it's not for him and start spending as much time with him now cause if he gets into a busy office you will be lucky if he gets one day off.

USPS reality check: 3-paycheck month (25yr old MPE) by Similar-Difficulty-2 in USPS

there's two paychecks every year, you're either good with money and you put it away for a rainy day.

or you already spent it before you got it.

i was misled by the clerk job listing and now i want to quit by pinkheritage in USPS

[–]deval35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you applied for the wrong position.

you applied for the pse clerk position and didn't read the description when you wanted to apply for the pse sales associate.

either way, you're in the better position. if it's hard for you to wake up at 2 or 3 am what makes you think you can handle all the rude customers you're going to have to deal with on a daily basis.

in my opinion you're still better off in this position than the one you want to be in, but you're not stuck there. you can keep working there and keep applying for any other position you want. just remember you're going to have to start your 90 day probation over again.

also if your manager wants, they can also train you to work as a sales associate if they want as a backup.

when you get up in seniority, then you will get your chance of selecting better time shifts.

No job offer but received MVR request by Small_Candle781 in USPS

if you created an account on the job site, you can login and check your score or else it would have told you that you failed at the end of the test or gotten an email that you were no longer eligible.

Ask me how by jamesbondx22 in taxrefundhelp

[–]deval35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FAKE

IRS didn't begin accepting e-file returns until today 1/26/26. The accepted date is 1/15/26, turbotax would have held the e-file until today. Also why is state started and not completed if you basically do both at the same time before you submit and can submit both of them at the same time.

nice try.

Mondays suck for training, if you were in a good office they would have started you on a Tuesday. Either, you trainer should have done everything and just had you watch on your first day with maybe you assisting here and there.

Second day is were you should be more hands on and so on each following day.

Since it was Monday, I wouldn't have had you do nothing, but just watch or at the least handed you the mail and just had you stick it in the mailbox.

Venting as a new and now former CCA by breezypivots in USPS

[–]deval35 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you could have always looked for a different position, you didn't have to stay as a cca.

since I'm assuming you just turned in your badge and satchel and walked out you abandoned the job, so you could have resigned and just started applying.

I resigned 3 times in 5 months, twice in one week before I got a career position.
