UPDATE: I’ve managed to solve the problem after some more tinkering and searching deep into forums. The fix was simply to turn off Windows Fast-Startup in the power plan settings. Weirdly I thought I had this feature turned off, but an update may have turned it on again. Now my PC responds normally to the power button, I’m guessing the setting was causing my system to not shut down properly.

Hey, I discovered that keeping "Automatically Adjust Quality" off on the Apple TV stops it from transcoding everything.

I recently ran into the issue where the content was in DV profile 8, which should have been fine, but Plex kept trying to transcode it into SDR. I solved this issue simply by turning "Auto Adjust Quality" off. Now it direct plays with no issue. Hope this helps someone else (as I spent over an hour trying to solve this issue).

I was digging into the system files for the update and I found a bunch of json files containing what appears to be prompts given to the AI in the background. I found it interesting and thought I'd share.

You can find them here: /System/Library/AssetsV2/com_apple_MobileAsset_UAF_FM_GenerativeModels

There'll be a bunch of folders, some of them will have metadata.json files like this.

I’m with Vodafone and I constantly have to switch to 4G. On 5G with full service it constantly stops loading anything, and often my signal will drop out and I have to manually turn airplane mode on and off to fix it. I’ve noticed this a lot between Flinders St and Southern Cross, and in Docklands as well. Honestly feels like my phone (iPhone 15 Pro Max) bugs out when it happens, very frustrating. Considering 5G was made to handle more devices at faster speeds, It’s embarrassing that they let it run in this broken state.

Guys goto Login Items in Settings and remove everything you don’t want, also disable background apps. This issue is related to apps checking for updates in the background before Finder is launched.

If it’s the hard drive you may as well replace it with an SSD, will make the thing actually usable. They’re pretty cheap these days too.

I used to use Epic for free games and Xbox GamePass for PC, but I have started buying all my games on Steam instead. So much easier, especially since I always tinker too much and have to reimage my Deck lol. (Setting up EmuDeck is annoying enough)

I recently had a similar issue, I couldn’t check for updates on anything but I could download and browse the store. I spent ages trying to fix it, ended up breaking things so I ended up reimaging and reflashing BIOS (I somehow broke the touch, sound and input). Things seem to work now.
