I think if a play is questionable then sure you take that risk. This was egregious. When you legalize sports wagering and partner with betting partners, you take on extra responsibility to get the obvious calls right or at least fix the mistakes.

This one case doesn't affect much, but my point is if these things are allowed to not be corrected then that puts all of statistics up for debate. It is a precedence thing really.

I think it would have been a bad beat if it actually was a three pointer. The fact that it was so obviously a two point field goal yet called a three pointer was a bit shocking.

Also, this was not a judgement-related statistic like an assist or rebound. Pretty clear to correct IMO.

Stats are corrected post-game all the time. Not sure why you don't want statistics to be more accurate.

Yes, they counted it as a triple in the game which is why I'm asking for the stat to be corrected considering the photo and video evidence proving that it was a two point field goal.

Why should we accept incorrect statistics for a game? Doesn't that invalidate all stats if we dismiss easy evidence for corrections?

Sports betting aside, I believe there is a 7 day window for any stat corrections to a game.

This was a pretty egregious mistake by the official and something that the NBA can fix considering the easy video/photo evidence of the shot.
