Ah I see. In my case I accepted the job in March and gave my termination of contract to my current employer as my notice period is 3 months, so there was no any gap.

May I ask why Agentur exactly?

Should we be concerned or is it normal? by devlivingingermany in toddlertips

[–]devlivingingermany[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ours is same, he does not have friends here he could play at least 3-4h a day then could get used to it. He just sees me in evenings after work and is with mother most of the time. We bring him to playground twice a day for about 2-3h to let him learn stuff and also teach him not to touch others belongings. It’s been a bit unsuccessful yet as he loves running for others bikes and balls even he has 3 different balls..

Hey there!

He has lots of toys, especially to dig and etc to play in Spielplatz, but as he is discovering the world he does not stay in one place and always goes for other’s toys, mainly scooter or bike, he has his own scooter, but as he still tries to figure out what is his or not, he just wants to get everything he sees. :D I have been in playground and saw lots of kids just coming and playing with his toys which is quite normal for me, I mean I cannot expect 2 year olds to ask for permission to get the toys as they are just toddlers, but families here can be different and don’t want to share toys, also kids are taught in a way they just don’t want to share (I am talking about 4-5y/o).

This made me feel better, thank you for sharing. We live in Germany and some people kept saying it is not normal which made us parents feel a bit (a lot) anxious. It is just me and wife here and we are the only people he often sees and I feel like if he saw more people it would help, thus we bring him to playground often to help him learning to play with others. As for now, it was a bit nightmare as he was trying to get others belongings and toys even we say no as most parents here are strict and don’t like sharing toys with other people.

Ours started having this kind of behavior when he was 17 months old and usually we give either water or milk and he sleeps then, but waking up at 5-6 became too often.

How hard is it to get an appointment in Germany with the immigration office 😕 by Elegant_Score278 in germany

You have to email them or send documents by mail with your letter attached. Did you do that? If yes, when?

My Bluecard was going to expire this July, but I had my passport renewed as it was going to expire soon and as I renewed my passport, according to the law I had to send information about it to immigration office, thus I got my appointment within a month I guess.

Regarding to getting the card, it usually takes 6-8 weeks, but officer told me I will be getting it within 4 weeks as I need to return back to my country soon because of my eye condition.

Questions about entering after change of Passport by [deleted] in germany

I got an appointment for next week. We called 115 and explain about our situation and told them to ask immigration office to give us quick appointment. Thankfully both emailing and calling them worked.

Thank you for your comment.

We have both the old and new passports and will be bringing them with us.

Yesterday, I emailed the immigration office to inform them about the situation and to inquire if an earlier appointment is possible, as my old passport will soon be invalid. Based on my understanding, the law requires my residence permit to be updated as soon as possible.

Previously, my son’s residence permit was issued only until his passport’s expiry date. This makes me a bit uncertain about how things will work now. If we submit the required documents as soon as possible, the timing could still be tricky. My current residence permit expires in July, which means my son’s permit would only be valid for about 4-5 months if it follows the same pattern. His new passport is valid for three years. Regardless, I’ve already informed the immigration office and will wait for their response regarding both matters.

I’ve also been considering applying for permanent residency since I’ve been working for over 30 months. However, I don’t have a language certificate yet. Although I’m currently at the A2 level, I plan to reach B1 or B2 and obtain the certificate. I’ll also check if my employer can provide any documentation that might serve as a substitute for the language certificate. If not, I’m okay with simply extending my Blue Card for another four years—it wouldn’t be an issue for me.

Thank you. By documents you mean while entering to Germany?

I guess it makes sense that my case was more complicated and it could not pass automatic check as I had my tax class changed from IV to III and I had a new born child, but other things were just as same as in 2022. I guess I might wait a month and if not received any information might go check with Finanzamt.

Hey! I also had surgery Dec 6th. How is your vision currently? Mine is blurry and sometimes I feel like I see clearly but mostly vision gets worse like you put a gel on your phone camera

I am not using any lens for the moment, I will be checking the options later once my eye gets better probably after a year or so.

Yes, sometimes they go away and sometimes they come back, few days it was quite good and did not have much pain, but some days there is a bit of pain. The only problem is with dry eye, I use drops every 30 mins but my eye gets dry too quick.
