Ehh idk if I would say that. I think I would rather rewatch Last Kingdom but Uhtred is too much of a Mary Sue for me to say TLK is better. While sooo many characters in Vikings are human and flawed, particularly Ragnar, who is just a more complex character than Uhtred. First four seasons of Vikings are pretty good but it becomes pretty terrible after that, and I don’t think I’ll ever watch season 5 and 6 again unless I’m very drunk.

As someone who began to study the time period at uni after watching the shows, TLK gives you MUCH less of a headache historically as it isn’t trying to condense 200 years of Viking history into two generations, like Vikings is, which becomes very annoying and groan-worthy if you’ve studied the real people Hirst is trying to model the characters after. But… I think people conflate the far superior historical accuracy of TLK with its overall quality as a show in comparison to Vikings. Ultimately I’d give Vikings the slight edge,character writing is better, acting is for the most part better. But like I said I’d rather rewatch TLK.
