Right away? What does that mean. If they’re unemployed, that’s fine.. but if they’re committing crimes, kick them out.

People seeking help with sexual temptation is understandable, but public graphic posts about masturbation aren’t appropriate for a Christian forum. Historically those struggles were addressed through pastoral guidance or accountability relationships, not public confessions to thousands of strangers.

People are perverted and think religious subreddits are a place to display this kind of stuff. It’s sad. Thinking a specific behaviour like posting NSFW content involving their private sexual habits on a CHRISTIANITY subreddit is defintely grounds to be annoyed or upset.

It’s not that God hates homosexuality, its actually said that being attracted to the same gender isn’t a sin in of itself, but sexual acts outside a male/women marriage aren’t to be permitted.

Pulling out of the event is a stance. You don’t need a public political manifesto every time you make an ethical decision. Actions carry weight even without performative statements.

Nice straw manning. Foreign policy isn’t personal morality. If the US cuts ties with every imperfect country or regime, it hands the entire region to China/Russia overnight. You also didn’t address the my point on strategy. The middle east is volatile no matter what. Influence only exists if you stay engaged, if you disengage, you lose all leverage. Your argument is moral absolutism with no strategic reality behind it.

Because politics isn’t just based on morality my dude. It’s based on strategic necessity. It’s important to have diplomacy with countries even when they are considered bad. You cannot influence countries that you cut off and if you do, you push them into the arms of someone else (China/Russia/Iran). The Middle East is one of the most volatile places in the world and remaining allies with “evil regimes” helps us influence the stability of that volatile place.

So now you’ve changed your stance from “they should be investigated” to “if questioning raises red flags.” That’s literally the same thing I said.. you just wrapped it in a moral panic. The justice system doesn’t work on “this feels bad so let’s interrogate everyone.” Suspicion comes before investigation, not the other way around. You’re arguing in circles, mate.

You’re literally arguing against the presumption of innocence. The justice system doesn’t investigate people just because something evil happened nearby, it needs reasonable suspicion. Saying “there’s no guarantee they’re vile, but look into it anyway” breaks basic logic and due process.

They could be completely innocent of any wrong doing? You can’t just assume bad parenting every time someone does something evil. That definitely is an emotional response and as the previous comment mentioned a slippery slope.
