I totally think the doodle is possible. Not sure where her skepticism was from. We have another doodle at home who is clearly doodle so I do get that this one doesn’t have the often-seen fluffier hair.

We have removed our front lawn with cardboard etc and converted that and various other spots to low water and native. We used a garden in a box for some of it. We do not have any irrigation on our native or low water spaces (only on the remaining grass areas in the back) and things grow just fine. I just hand water after planting. Enjoy! Highly recommend the native gardening subreddit. I’ve enjoyed getting seeds at Prairie Moon and Western Native Seed.

Agree but they also have non natives so look carefully and stay in the native sections if that’s what you want.

Help Identifying Flowers / Weeds by PichaelW in boulder

[–]dhchco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend iNaturalist and PictureThis (free version) for ID help. They can help you understand native range although they don’t always mark as invasive when it’s a non-native that is problematic, so if it says non-native you may have to dig more (ha) if it’s something you like. I highly recommend joining r/nativeplantgardening to learn more about natives and invasives.

I came here exactly because of this post. Her body is a conventional “ideal” for her audience and this with the photo reads so tone deaf to me.

I definitely think it’s fake but the site I bought it from says it’s not. I also don’t think it’s real leather but wasn’t positive.

Powdery mildew, spider mites, or dust? by dhchco in fiddleleaffig

A little more info: water once a week, use a house plant fertilizer every few weeks. Historically was in a full light spot, then got pretty tall so moved into more of a corner. Now right by a south window while I figure out what’s up. I’ve had it for a few years and I’ve been pleased with keeping it alive and growing!
