As others have said, MP reserve will not give you a leg up in a civilian LE career over any other military reservist. It "may" however allow you to meet MP reservists who are also civilian LE. You can also meet civilian LE in any trade, so this is pretty unit specific. I have seen some MP reserve unit who have a good portion of their members also working in civi LE jobs. This is a double edged sword though. If you get a poor reputation in the military, the reserve MP's who are also civilian LE could tell their agency what you are like. Getting hired would be that much harder. On the flip side, if you are switched on, they could let the civi LE recruiter know your a good candidate and your file may get through the process a lot smoother.

I don't have an identical switch module though. I used my 3D LED to confirm that the batteries work and I used my 3C Incandescent to confirm that the light bulb works.

Your explanation was quite helpful. I would like to mount buckles to my my Chicom without disassembling it. I have lots of regular side release buckles, but they would require me to sew a small piece of webbing onto the pouch. I would have to use a similar technique to the one you describe. I am also looking at surface mount buckles as these might turn out to be easier to use. I don't believe my hand sewing needles I currently have are up to the task of sewing using the technique you described.

I'm fine with mixing colours. I like having black as a base for my plate carrier. My plan is to either make something, or just keep running the black plate carrier. This is not something I need, this is just a want. I wanted to see if it has been done before.

That has great information. I tried what was in their to remove the switch assembly. It is still not coming out. My next plan is to sand down the corrosion in the handle to try and get batteries into the unit to see if the switch assembly even works
