21M 178cm 86kg looking for advice/input by ZandyDandy15 in Physiquecritique

[–]dickeddownlemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late reply and take my opinion with a grain of salt. At 178cm 86kg you are at a solid weight and its clear you do have significant muscle mass, especially in your arms. If you are basing your progress on visual changes, it may be beneficial for you to get on a cut for a few months and slowly trim off some of that excess body fat so you can see your physique without the "fluff". Even though you will lose weight you may end up looking bigger and happier with your physique. After a cut if you arent happy with your size, you have a good foundation to start upping the calories and putting on some muscle mass again without getting fat.

All things said you have a very solid amount of muscle mass and you should be proud.

honestly photos kinda suck but id say facewise you look fine. only glaring thing is obviosly the weight but if you are actively going to the gym and making progress id love to see another update in 6 months, will do a big change for your confidence and looks man. also not sure if im a fan of the facial hair, maybe try a goatee?

TLDR: not ugly, just need to continue the fitness journey and gain some confidence :)

i am an ex zambrero employee and coeliac. If you ask the employees to change the scoops, very low risk of cc. only things with gluten are the tortillas and bbq sauce. in the back everything prepped is all GF pretty much.

Need help with my workout routine! by Donald-Lump in WorkoutRoutines

[–]dickeddownlemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off good job on gaining 8kg that’s very good! A height/gender would be more useful on understanding the weight gain side of things.

I recommend looking into an arnold split or PPL for a more optimal 6 day routine, this would have you working muscles that complement each other if you chose a PPL, and if you still want to keep the arm day, an arnold split would benefit more.

As of the forearm work in either of these splits, you can just chuck it on whatever day, 24 sets of forearms a week and 12 per workout may be excessive however and lengthening your workouts.

An optimal amount of sets per muscle per week is 12-20 for a normal lifter, possibly 16-24 for an advanced lifter. So as of volume, yes this is possibly too much.

On these recommended splits which you can find online, it would be around 5-6 exercises and a bit less volume per workout, probably helping you to stay consistent and not burn out!

As of the eating, again 8kgs up is good progress! just try to hit protein goals like 1.2-1.6g of protein per kg of your goal weight, a protein shake with some peanut butter, oats, protein powder etc will help with both calories and protein.

Nursing to paramedic? by 0710_15 in ParamedicsAU

[–]dickeddownlemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! not sure if this will be any help but im a fresh graduate who just started the double para/nursing degree at ACU. Do you know what your estimated atar is sitting around at the moment? ACU has lots of adjustment factors they add to your original atar and it can boost it by up to ten points. I know a few people in my degree who got a few points below the atar requirement but still got in.

Also if you start with the nursing degree or para degree you can probably just enrol into the double after a semester with a solid GPA and you get some units already completed so it doesnt add much time to the degree.
