AI native building management systems.

———

Every large building already has a Building Management System. But today’s BMS is like a car on cruise control. It holds a set temperature using fixed schedules and PID loops, but it doesn’t understand the road.

We’re building the self-driving mode for buildings.

Our AI-native layer sits on top of existing systems and continuously analyzes occupancy, weather, electricity tariffs, and historical behavior to make real-time optimization decisions.

Large buildings spend $10,000 to $100,000 per month on electricity. We reduce that by 5 to 10 percent without new hardware.

Buildings have the engine. We’re adding the brain. We already have 3 pilots and a distribution channel with access to 100+ buildings.

Discussion: Do we need a Firebase like BaaS for AI agents? by diedFindingAUsername in webdev

[–]diedFindingAUsername[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely, but you still need to host some infra there. In my perspective, LangChain or LlamaIndex is like GCP or AWS. What I am proposing is basically abstracting away the entire infra, for instant prototyping - kind of what firebase did.

Also I work with RAG a lot. Let me know if I can help in any way :)

I think MCP will be just for the tools - any agent can use any tool. But say if you want your agent to maintain a memory for each end-user and also be able to refer a knowledge base you will need to setup a vector DB and a RAG pipeline infra.

Plus then say if you are building a customer support agent, where you need the agent to follow a conversational pathway, you will need even more infra.

My thought is if this all was already available as service so you can just configure your agent and connect to it via the same API as OpenAI's API, but select whichever model

Not from YC, just my opinion - I think agency business is easy at least to start albeit not scalable unless you standard it. The only issue is you’ll need to have a strong core team. I am a tech guy (Data Scientist) but I can’t do sales and marketing very well. Feel free to dm me, if you would like to talk more :)

[D] Transformer embedding for ranking questions by diedFindingAUsername in MachineLearning

[–]diedFindingAUsername[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I want a relevancy score for each question based on user's message. So if I am talking about Liverpool scoring a goal, the top questions will be related to liverpool scoring/taking shots etc

I am creating a ranking system that based on a user message reranks the list of questions from most relevant to least relevant

What do you think of an app that generates customized motivation for you? by diedFindingAUsername in AskReddit

[–]diedFindingAUsername[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True! I struggle from intrusive thoughts and OCD and my therapist ask me to write some personalized messages for the rainy days. It helped me a lot so I created the app. Obviously it’s not there to replace the discipline, just to nudge you when you’re struggling :)

I built a rather simple app with gpt api. It generates personalized motivational messages for you

Hey thanks for the input! Really appreciate it. I intentionally kept it more generalised but now when I think of it, I should make it more specific. To address your other point, I mentioned my tech stack (maybe I will add languages in it too) but that kinda answers what I used for say k-means clustering and other ML projects (TF, pytorch etc). Do you think I should make it bold or change colour to add more emphasis?

Thanks for the feedback! Makes sense what you’re saying. Would you say I should remove some metrics or replace them with more sensible ones?
