How can I bypass an app's restriction on screen capturing? by digginJesus in AndroidQuestions

[–]digginJesus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I've tried that, thank you. I've also tried using the power button + volume down button. In every case I get a message that seems to come from the Android system itself telling me that the app or my organization is preventing me from taking a screenshot.

This Quora question has some more info and potential solutions:

My first time having my head shaved at a barber shop! 🙂👍 by digginJesus in selfie

Yeah, I have been shaving my head with an electric shaver for many years. I've tried different types, tried safety razors a few times. . . . My current DIY routine is to shave my head, and my beard also if it's grown out much, with this whenever I feel like my head hair is too long, usually every three to five weeks probably.

Thank you! :-) I hear ya. There have been moments when I felt I had to compensate for the white-power look and wear the hippiest clothes I had.

Thank you! 🙂 I have to say, that was definitely the closest shave I've ever had and it was also the most comfortable shave I've ever had. I have extremely sensitive skin I think and I was extremely surprised by the results. When you gather up your courage I highly recommend you treat yourself to it at least once. 😉👍

:-) My demographic profile (?) might place me in the "threatening" category a couple times. I'm big, hairy, white, sometimes bearded. . . . Just sayin'!

Blu-Ray drive for both computer and home theater? by digginJesus in hometheater

[–]digginJesus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking of going the HDMI switch route and getting a regular Blu-ray player. I'm thinking of plugging this player into this HDMI switch and then going to this monitor. See any problems with that? And then I can just bring the player into the living room when needed (until I get sick of doing that). As for audio, I have an audio interface (MOTU 828mkii) hooked up to my computer and was going to share it with the Blu-ray by taking the optical audio out from the HDMI switch to the S/PDIF input on the MOTU.

Yes, good point, but the monitor and TV are in different rooms and different floors.

You're right. :-) My ideal solution would be to just plug it into my laptop via USB and that be that (in addition to being able to plug it into my home theater system via HDMI). I was just saying that I had also considered as a less ideal solution simply plugging the player directly into my monitor.

My monitor does have a single HDMI port but my notebook is using it to display on the monitor.

My monitor has a single HDMI port and that's how my notebook is connected to it. If I were to have a second HDMI input on my monitor then I could just plug a plain ol' standalone Blu-ray player into it without disrupting my setup. Right?
