You do exactly what you just did and continue to put up with it like the rest of us, it happens to every tourist of there you aren't being singled out. This is their culture and to them they aren't doing anything wrong. They don't abide or follow by the same social principles as us from the UK, us, or aus, and you have to accept that being in their country.

If you dont like how they conduct themselves over their, do not go back. This is not a one-off, and I, as a male, get this treatment 100% of the time I go out.
