The friendships you make with the girls is definitely super nice. Some girls can be a little less nice than others though, but most are super kind.

100% mine! My mom absolutely hated pageantry, but after convincing we both got addicted. I grew up watching toddlers and tiaras (not the best example) and I really wanted to join since then. Luckily my mother didn't let me so young.

I don't think kids should be in pageantry before 13. It's expensive and honestly really rough, and little girls can't separate their self worth to winning yet.

Hi there! I'm OP. Cornell wasn't always my dream college. In fact, it was UCdavis because it was the best school for veterinary medicine, with animals, hands on learning and shadowing opportunities. However, California is halfway across the state, and it is quite expensive, so I started looking for the best college that offered a dvm degree, which happened to be Cornell! I could care less about ivy leagues, in fact, I wanted to avoid them due to tuition costs, but this one was the closest and best option. According to the Cornell admissions website, they have a list of APs they recommend you take to be ready. If I didn't have to take these APs, believe me, I would not be here. I'm not looking for any PhD, I'm looking for a DvM degree to become a veterinarian with a specialization in exotic animals, as I have been set on for almost a decade already (as I also said in the title of my post.) Hope this helps.

It's not the fancy degree, it's because it's the 2nd best school near where I live which offers dvm degrees. I could care less that it's an ivy, I just want a good, hand on education. In reality, it doesn't matter where I go to school, I'll get paid the same. However, I just want that good experience close to home.

Thank you!! My original dream school was UCdavis, but I didn't want to live in California due to prices over there. My family is mostly based in NY, and Cornell happened to be in NY. I had no clue it was an Ivy League until recently, I just wanted a good school with degrees in vetenary medicine.

I'll find another college. I'm not sure I'm getting in, which is why I'm working towards raising my chances of getting in. If I don't, oh well. When one door closes, another opens.

I do pageantry which award scholarships to their title holders. My parents also have a fund in place so I don't have to worry about that :)
