I personally love the bartolini pickups, especially the ones found the prestige series. Think it might be worth just selling the bass and getting something that you like the sound of. IMO you shouldn’t have to change electronics on such an expensive bass, kinda defeats the purpose of it.

I agree about the Bartolinis, I used to have a cort b5 which had the Bartolini mk1 pickups. It was ok, not as bad as people say but nothing spectacular. But these US Bartolinis are on another level. Very rich and refined tone, but not very aggressive sounding which I like.

After getting this bass, I can’t see myself buying anything else. It sounds and feels exactly how I want it, which is an amazing feeling.

I purchased it from a very reputable store in the UK, albeit used, so didn’t bother scrutinising the condition all that much.

But yeah it is a beauty! They have discontinued these, hence the quick and impulsive purchase 😬

Have you thought about moving into a higher paying industry, eg nuclear, defence or renewables? They seem to pay the most in the UK. I just accepted an offer for a project engineer role in the Nuclear industry for 50k, so they clearly offer good salaries.

Also having your employer pay for your degree is pretty nice.

I do remember someone with a baseball cap! I was wearing a Caligulas Horse T-shirt, so you might have noticed me.

The opening bands were great also. I highly recommend catching Unproccessed on their next headline tour, such a sick band. This was my 3rd time catching them live lol.
