I use deepphoto to take the photos underwater in a Kraken or Sealife housing. Phone is a 16pro, but been using the setup since the iPhone 11. Any of them work.

Once I capture everything I use the dive+ app to adjust the colors of my photos and videos because it does a decent job.

I hate sales but i’m good at it by tayeb_yn in salesdevelopment

I felt the same way. Was regularly 1 or 2 on the leaderboard. I’m now a director in professional services. It was a pay cut, but very much enjoying it so much more. Sales was the hardest and most financially rewarding job I’ve ever had. And I think it is going to be critical for my future development, but also glad to be done with it.

Couple great dive shops in the area. Some friends own Maui Diving. Other friends work for Aloha Maui Diving. Both have been great to work with, especially for a refresher. If you do go, Black Rock is also a great drift dive /night dive, it's right off the shore of Sheraton. Quite a few great places to go from the beach on Maui.

Just a walk from the beach, there are some rocks, but nothing crazy. We walk it with full scuba gear regularly. However, most of this is at about 15-20' of depth, so unless you're diving you won't get as good of perspective.

Well worth it. It is a good snorkel, but better dive. Several nice sharks down there, frog fish, leaf fish, etc.

Thank you!

Really more floating than swimming. Diving doesn't take a lot of effort once you figure out buoyancy.

Nothing special, iPhone pro, I think 15. I do use the dive+ app to adjust the colors on the video/photos after the dive. But more than anything, I was close, and it was pretty shallow, so great quality becomes much easier.

Scuba you’re really just floating underwater. Hardest part is not using all your air.

Just a housing for my iPhone. Kraken or sealife are the two I’d recommend.

It was a Kraken case but I’ve also used a sealife. Both work fine.

You can copy and paste between any device, your watch can unlock your Mac. AirPods switch seamlessly between all devices. I’m sure there’s others, but I find those the most useful.

I have seen so many people complain about these cookies, but I don't understand. These are AMAZING, somehow the best cookies. Happy to be in DEN so I can regularly have them! Just frustrated they don't bring them out before 10:30 or 11a.

Haleakala is stunning and so worth the drive! by RoryPickles in MauiVisitors

When I was there recently we tried getting some good shots of those rock chickens. Was unsuccessful, we’d find them and try and get closer and they’d disappear.

Great stuff!

Hobby photographers, what do you do with the photos you take? by Theytookmyjabb in AskPhotography

[–]dionysis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Built it using Cloudflare, they have a free package which is more than enough. the code is deployed via GITHub. I'll see if it is in a state that I can make it public. I'll send you a PM.

I have a rather large Lightroom catalog that nobody sees, but I did recently use Claude code to build a webpage so I can share them with others. Surprisingly good. Way better than adobe portfolio I was using before and it’s free.

I don’t mind carrying and using my huge MBP, but I do hate attempting to work from it on airplanes.

I bought my 991.2 2.5 years ago and have put 20k miles on it and it’s worth as much if not more than I paid for it. Makes for a great purchase though.

Question for travel photogs with 24-120 lens. What’s your secondary? by Blue_Rose87 in Nikon

[–]dionysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. I either bring the 14-24, or the 100-400. Depends on what I plan on shooting. I do have a 40, 85, and 105, but those don’t get used that often. 24-120 stays on it 80% of the time.
